you are already on the right track. i, too am in the process of revamping my website. i make jewelry, but i also sell fashion jewelry as well. the thing to know about ebay is not only how to bid, but how to sell. for example, how long you should put your stuff up for, where is the right place to post your merchandise on ebay, the right way to start your bid. i had to learn all of this through trial and error. i have been doing this for a year now, so i am new as well. let me also warn you that the temperature for jewelry season is quite cool right. it is probably due to the economy and people not being able to afford extra things like jewelry. it seems like the jewelry season also slows down around the summer time. this is not to say you won't make any sales. i did over the summer, but not as much as around the holidays. i wish you good luck on your business. keep us posted in how it's doing.

I sell things online all the time. I use eBay to sell used clothes and accessories and stuff that I no longer use. I have made a pretty penny doing so, also! I think you are right in thinking that Etsy to sell handmade things. I haven't had any experience from Etsy though, so I can't help you with that. Sorry. Best of luck to you though!

I've used Zazzle to sell things that I've made, but other than that I haven't sold anything else online...
I would recommend Etsy; someone I know sells items on there and people have been noticing and buying. Also, the selling process isn't a hassle on Etsy either.
A tip I would give you is that it is important to market your items, which means that you should let people know that you are selling things. Social media, for example, is a great way to get the word out there, such as through Facebook or Twitter.
