The magnificient extravagent portugese winger who transferred from manchester united to real madrid at a record rate is showing his real value at santiago bernabeu and also he had scored a very brilliant 114 goals in 101 matches while messi scored 169 goals in 214 matches.The argentian striker is scoring this much because the game is built around him and Xavi and Iniesta are helping him very much....

This question has been asked over and over again. Like I always say, Messi is a better player than Ronaldo. The Argentine is a team player while the Portugese Peacock is more interested in himself. Beside, Ronaldo is known to have gone missing in big games.

if you like ronaldo, just say that you like ronaldo...it is simple..
i respect ronaldo, but all every player admit that this is messi era..
no wonder that FIFA always give the best player for messi from 2 years ago (if iam not wrong) and beat again and again ronaldo..
so is it not enough the appreciation from all over world to messi as the best player??

I think they are two different players with different skills. Ronaldo has a better all round game than Messi. But Messi is a better team player and has more determination and patience than Ronaldo. So I would say that both are great players who bring different aspects onto the table.

i think the debate about who is better is over..
too much useless debate..
is it benefit for us, debating about who is the better?/
as spectators, we should be happy if too many good player compete each other.just fun and enjoy their skill and games..it will be happy if you are really football lovers i think

I think Messi has a more skillful foot, his left foot is more skillful than Ronaldo's right, both are equally fast and have good perception of the game. On the other hand Ronaldo plays better on the air than Messi, since he is taller and a stronger, making him a little more completed player than Messi.

No. Both are just similar. The best this season is Drogba because he won the Champions League while the two players you mentioned failed. But to answer your question: Messi scored 169 goals because he had the help of Xavi and Iniesta. My personal opinion is that if he has no one to assist him, he would score even MORE. You see, those richly talented players are different from the normal ones - If they feel they can't rely on their teammates, they will tend to strike on their own, do whatever they want to do to score. As they are very skillful and tricky, they will always find a way through.
No, both players' skill are just the same.
