What time do you stop eating

We all know that it is not healthy to eat past a certain time because our bodies do not metabolize food at the same rates during the nights as they do during the day. So what times do you stop eating during the day in your home. My husband goes to work at 530 in the afternoon, and I am trying to start not eating past the time that he leaves, I know that this is kind of early but I have a bad habit of eating very late into the night, so I am grounding myself. But what do yall do in yalls homes.

I know it's unhealthy but being hungry actually wakes me up so i always want to make sure I'm not hungry when i go to bed. I also work nights so having a cut off time is nearly impossible because I may be up later each day.

my husband works nights as well. He has a hard time trying to keep a good diet with this schedule but he does what he can, so I completely understand

Hello SissyRose I have heard from the Dr. Oz show that you should not eat past 6:00pm/7:00pm. but I find it hard to do because I'm at work at that time and I have a tendency to munch. I get home at about 10:50pm and I have my dinner, but I try to do soups and fruit.

I love Dr.Oz... I think his show is so great, but I can understand how trying to eat right when you get home so late is hard. But good luck to ya.

For me, I have a really hard time forcing myself to eat at times because of the fact that I've been through a lot of stress in the last couple of years and because of that I don't eat the way that I should. So, I've had to simply change my style to eating when I am hungry and not worrying about what time it is. However, before I started having a hard time eating, I tried to quit eating anything after nine in the evening. I don't go to sleep until at least one in the morning so that was something that worked for me.

Hi,SissyRose~ I don't really care much about how late I eat. Some of my friends do pay extra attention to the time they stop eating,so that they won't gain much weight. I personally don't mind. I eat whenever I'm hungry or have a craving. Sometimes I eat right before I go to bed. I know it's not good for my health. But it's just a couple of times that I actually did that.So...I guess it wouldn't do too much damage. I'm not a big fan of snacks anyway. I barely have anything in stock in my room. Sometimes it's a torture when I'm soooo hungry but all the shops in our living community are closed and I don't have anything to eat in my dorm.

I just eat 3 main meals around 7 am, 12 am, and 7pm, respectively. I really don't like to eat more after that. If i am hungry because of staying up late, i will drink pure water and then go to sleep.

There is no particular time that I stop my self from eating because my sleeping time varies from time to time. They say that not eating after 6 in the afternoon works well for some dieters, but I don't think it is advisable to someone like me who has no schedule to follow. What I do is that I stop eating 4 hours before I go to sleep. I believe that is enough time for my body to digest the food I consumed before I go to bed and sleep. So far, it works well for me.

Some food are just delicious even when eaten at a certain point.. I for one instance, can't stop eating Cookies, but I do restrain myself. My breakfast typically contains a bowl of Oatmeal and a small cup of Orange Juice, by Lunch, I would have half a meatball sub from subway, and by dinner I would have a bowl of rice mixed in with assorted vegetables and meats. There have been times where like Louis CK, where, "I don't stop eating when I'm full.. The meal is not over when I'm full, The meal is over when I 'hate myself'. That's when I stop. I guess normal people eat until they're all "Oh, that's all the nutrition I require right there, I just reached it. I will cease the intake now, and convert this into useful energy throughout the day". No, Every time I eat, it always ends up as Oh my god, why The [bleep] did I eat this..?" But it's rare.

For me, it mainly depends on when I am going to bed. Also, sometimes I have snacks a little bit before I go to bed. But generally I try to leave at least around two or more hours from when I eat to when I go to bed. This usually works fine and I am able to sleep peacefully!
