I normally always take my laptop with me, but I very seldom
go on mylot...I might check emails and facebook, but unless I am
away more than 5 days I just don't do any mylotting...
How about you??? Do you find your way to the computer room at
the hotel????

I ylot from my phone mostly when I'm traveling. I did bring my laptop to NY last august when I went on vacation. I used it too for mylotting. Like when I go to bed at night I use my iPhone.

I wish they could make a mobile version for MyLot so it will be easier to navigate on a phone. I have small fingers but even I have a hard time pressing the tiny links and buttons. Sometimes my reply or message just gets erased because I accidentally pressed a wrong link or button. It's quite frustrating.

I do not usually stay at motels. I do get on mylot, but not as much as if I were at home. I chose not to take a computer this last two days while I was gone, and I did not get on Mylot because I do not like my dad's computer well enough to spend time. It was more important to spend time with him. I take it on longer driving trips. I have a power inverter and can plug in and then I load data minutes on a "stick" device. Hubby drives down the road and I type.

Hubby got it for $20 at a truck stop. You still have to have something like a Turbo stick. I got that at Radio Shack. They call them different things. I got mine from Virgin Mobile as I have no contract. I just load it for when I am on the road. It is not as fast as wi fi, and I prefer that when I can get it, but it is much less expensive. McDonalds and lots of other places have free wifi, even some rest stops do. I use them when available and save my minutes on my stick.

Yes I am Bjc, I'm always on the go and even on the bus I always go on mylotting. I have some discussion here while I'm on the bus using my smartphone while mylotting. I decided to get a Tab so that it is more easier for me. But when I will stay out for a week and I will stay for a hotel I bring my laptop with me. I got bored when I travel and the easiest way to ease my boredom is to do mylotting. ![](/Content/images/emotes/happy.gif)

If I bring my laptop and the hotel is hooked with wi-fi, yes, I get on my lot. However, recently, I've been traveling without it because it's heavy. When I get an Ipad, I'm sure I will be able to bring it during trips.

I do mylot when traveling but not as much as when I am on a computer. I bring my iPad with me when I travel. My computer stays home alone.
I have more time to mylot when traveling but it is not as easy to type on an iPad. I often want to mylot to pass the time but get frustrated trying to do too much on my iPad.So, I mylot some when traveling but not as much as I really want to.
I will be going to Boston by Amtrak the end of June. It will take just over two days but I am choosing Amtrak so as to see the country. I will have my iPad. I will be my lotting but how much remains to be seen.

I would if I brought my own laptop along with me. I use this site for entertainment and if it is late at the hotel and I'm bored then I might just find myself here! I very seldom take my laptop on vacation. I only do when I know the hotel has free wifi.

Hi snrm, I am with you about those late bored nights...it is
certainly a good time to get on the computer....Most of the
hotels here in the USA all have wifi I do believe, but they
also have a computer thats available to guest...but sometimes
its only 1/2 computers that seem to always stay busy....Thats
why I take my own....

I took my net book with me to Colombia and the screen got broken. Luckily coming back home my brother-in-law fitted a new screen. I took it on my latest trip and it worked once but then it needed an extra password. Unless it was plugged straight into the Internet it would not work. I used it sitting in a posh lounge at a bus station in Argentina. I used it once more at my dear friend's house in Chile. On previous trips when Internet use has been affordable I have used it in an Internet cafe. I have used it for emails and a little less My Lot than I usually do. I missed My Lot so very much due to my net book not working. I was on my latest trip for four weeks so missed more My Lot than I wanted to. I will probably buy a new net book for my next trip if I can possibly afford it.

I usually blog instead of myLotting when I travel. I'm busy posting and updating about places I'm in at the moment. It would be good material for discussions, but I'd very much rather keep the personal sharing when I travel by blogging. When I'm home, and there's really not much to tell the world, I log on to myLot and get absorbed with all the other happenings in the world. :)

When I travel I'm usually with my husband and we just bring one laptop between the two of us. Usually I just use it to do my banking online, pay bills that have to be paid while I'm away. I might add a few pictures but other than that I'm too busy enjoying my vacation and seeing the sights to waste time on the computer. I can catch up once I return home.

It depends on where I am travelling too. If its in the province and say camping them I will bring my cellphone but dont sit on it as if I was at home or have a lot of free time. Now if I go on a vacation i.e. out of Canada then no I wouldnt bring my laptop nor log onto Mylot.

I guess it depends on my purpose for traveling. If I'm traveling to relax, see the sights, and spend time with family and friends, I probably wouldn't since I would rather spend my time making the most of my vacation. However if I'm traveling for work and find some extra time, I probably would squeeze in a couple of hours in MyLot.
