HELLO FRIENDS, ( I AM BACK AFTER 2WEEKS BREAK)
Greetings to all,
we all know about paracetamol, the one tablet , which we use, in pain, instantly, dont know about others, but this is the one which i carry with me, where ever i go , be it office, out of station anywhere..i use/have it whenever i get headache, or any restlessness in my body.
Recently i was travelling, it was a 3day journey in train , i noticed a boy in his teens, who used to take paracetamol, 3times a day , early morning , afternoon and at night.., this happened all the three days, i thought of asking him the reason, but didnt do so...but i was afraid the way the boy was taking the tablet..
as far as i know paracetamol shouldnt be taken like that, i use it but in a limit,..what do you think guys, in fact we find people who take medicines whether, they need it or not , did you find any such people, what do you think , we should about such people, should we talk to them or just leave them ...how many of you face such problem of taking tablets unnecessarily.....pls d share...........

My go-to medication for pain is Mefenamic Acid. I used to always use paracetamol especially when I get my period pains. Analgesic just wouldn't cut it, and I think Paracetamol is a little too much. Especially while I was growing up abroad in Saudi Arabia, the paracetamol that I used was very strong. When I got back to the Philippines, no other paracetamol would work for me. I used to even get my meds shipped from Saudi Arabia by whoever would go there for the summer, or whoever would come back here for a vacation. I got introduced to Mef. Acid because my dentist presribed it, and when I get a headache or any other body pain, I use it instead. At least now, I don't have to worry about where to get my meds.

Mefenamic acid is generally another anti inflammatory that is used mainly for killing pain, most dental and orthopedic surgeons prescribe it for decreasing the swelling down but yes- as the user in this box said, this salt is useful for menstrual pain as well. As usual, excess of every thing is bad so goes with this one as well. Although this salt is comparatively safer, but please check with your doctor before using any of these.

Paracetamol is good medicine for fever but not use anytime before taking the suggestion of Dr. Ohhh God 3 times I think not need much more. Only one time in a day. I not take any medicine without referring Dr. if emergence creates then only crocin or paracetamol eat but not frequently in emergency if dr. is not in town.

I'm not a medical expert but I don't think that was a wise way to take such medication. If you say he's a teen, then I wonder why his parents let him. I really think he needs to see a doctor, maybe you can suggest a good doctor the next time you meet him,

Hi,
I think he must be having fever and to control it he'd have the tablet. You could have checked with him casually. I would sincerely suggest you not to make it a habit of eating tablets and pain killers for instant relief. Please avoid taking any of the tablets until unless it becomes a 'must'. I do suffer from migraine / headaches often but i avoid taking pain killers and it only is a temporary remedy but taking proper rest helps to relax.
How's your break and hope you had a nice time.

I think it depends on the reason why he is taking the medications and whether it was prescribed or not. Sometimes you can be prescribed to take a pain killer every after 4 hours depending on the severity/pain that you experiencing. I would only get concerned if I know the condition of that person and I am sure that he/she has been overusing the medication. Maybe I could approach him and ask why he is taking the medication so often.
