It is supposed to be very hot at this time of the year here in the Philippines, but the rain is pouring every dusk to evening. In other parts of the world there are also similar phenomenon which characterizes a shift in weather pattern. What do you think of this?

Global warming doesn't necessarily mean that the weather is warmer in any particular location. The warmer the oceans and the air become, the more water vapour is likely to be taken up into the atmosphere and rainfall (and even snowfall) is likely to be heavier in many parts of the world.
Cloud and precipitation, of course, tend to make it cooler locally but this doesn't mean that the earth is getting cooler on a global scale.

Weather patterns are changing everywhere. Our winters have always been mild but this year we really had cold weather which began mid November and lasted till mid March. My Canada based brother told me that their Christmas was bereft of snow and it fell only in late Jan and Feb.Otherwise they have harsh winters.Yes global warming is taking a toll of the weather and making life that much more difficult for everyone.

I believe the term "global warming" is misleading. It sounds like the country will be hot yet in reality it gives strange weather patterns. I know a shop assistant and she told me for daughter, son in law and grand kids are on a vacation in Turkey. She said it is raining and cold over there. It is meant to be hot and dry all summer. Sea levels are rising so that is dangerous for a flat country like the Maldives. I was sad to hear that much coral reef has been whitened due to changed water temperatures. In my home country the summer can have strange weather. There seems no rhyme or nor reason to what the weather is like. It is sunshine here at last and it is due to last 4 or so days.

Weather is quite different from that of 20 years ago.
I still remember when I was young, spring and fall were very beautiful season. Now in late April, the temperature is still very cold while in early May the temperature become very high in a short period. That makes me have no chance to wear my beautiful sweater.
I think the weather is abnormal now, but I dare not say that is global warming.

I wouldn't call it global warming! Though yes it is one of the reason why your experiencing the changed weather! And its happening everywhere! If you do search you will find out the patterns have changed drastically over the last couple of years! But coming to the terms, its called El nino! Spanish word and you can find a very beautiful description of it wikipedia!

I think the weather pattern has been changed due to many ecological activities, this year in our country is suffering from the highest temperature yet 43 deg Celsius which has never raised before. I don't know what gonna happen in the coming years. earlier we can sleep even without AC but now its not being possible.
