It's been a long time that I'm suffering of this kind of feeling. They said I look like so healthy but for me I'm not. I wonder why it's so hard for me to smell well sometimes. I don't have colds or cough too. I need to make a deep breath before i could smell such thing. What do you think maybe the cause of this?

Your senses of taste and smell would be linked..does food still appeal to you,or is your appetite reduced as well? The lining of your nose cavity has to be moist for the sense of smell to function properly,so if you have a dry nose, that might be part of your problem.Or ,there may be a problem with the nerve endings that would send signals of taste or smell to your brain..If this has been a problem for a while, perhaps you'd better go see your doctor for a checkup..

Actually I find difficulty in breathing too. I'm catching my breath sometimes. Maybe it is also one of the reasons why I couldn't smell well. I'm not really sure though.

It could well all be linked..It's probably worth a check up to find out for sure.

One that I am aware of, though not for myself, is the use of allergy relief type nasal sprays. I have had allergies all my life but I have resisted using the nasal sprays. I was glad of this when I learned that a relative had lost their sense of smell from using them.
