My mind needs a voice?

So i have come to the conclusion that lending voice to my thoughts is not exactly a very healthy practice. Some say it helps clear the mind and you get to share it with others (well it is the only way on can communicate unless those scientist can fine tune the mind controlling robots) etc, but some how it seems to make it real. Like give it form! An actuality that needs to be dealt with! I guess in some cases its a good idea but when those thought arent exactly constructive and look like they are going to to drag you into a quagmire, shouldn't they be left un-voiced! Like left alone, not probed! I mean why complicate your life by vocalizing ideas which lead to nowhere or perhaps they do lead somewhere but we don't want to take that path! Do you think all that i have typed is true or do i simply need a shrink?!

I think that it might depend upon the person. I do think that there are some things that should remain unsaid, because they are too awful to even think about. On the other hand, once things are said it is sometimes easier to let them go, especially if you are able to realize that saying them aloud does not make them stronger or make them come true.
If you have someone that you can really trust and can share anything with, then perhaps you could discuss these things with him or her. If not, then perhaps a psychiatrist or psychologist could help you, especially if you are really worried about it and these thoughts are very unhealthy. It is not a bad thing to ask for help from a professional ... that is what they are there for.

No they aren't exactly that scary or unhealthy! Its just o was looking back and i realized that had i kept my silence on some occasions it would have served me well! Like saying it aloud seemed to make it problem requiring attention and not just another random thought going through my head!

Perhaps you should write those thoughts before you speak them. Give yourself time to mull them over.

That is the whole point! Once i write them down i am giving them life! I am attaching importance to them! When they might have been just a wandering piece of fluff! Thanks for the posting by the way and happy mylotting!
