I am such a bookie! I mean love to read! and If a book is really good, I can read it over and over! I love self help books and books on spirituality. I have been on my own path of finding out my purpose in the world. I have come across some amazing books that have really helped me so much. But I have found this one last book that just blew my mind big time.
Creative Meditation, by Dr. Joseph Murphy. I am tell you, you have got to treat yourself to this life changing book. I have come to understand my true relationship with God and with all those around me. I understand how powerful and worthy I am.
Have you read any books lately that i have given you the answers you have been looking for? Books that just blew your mind?

I don't think I've ever read a non-fiction book that blew my mind. I'm mainly a fiction/fantasy reader and I have been branching out recently trying to find non-fiction books to read and they've mostly been devotional, self-help, and religion books. I haven't enjoyed a single one, or found one that I felt was actually helpful to me. So what is Creative Mediation about other than a relationship with God and people... is there anything about mediating creatively? Is it New Age based or generally spiritually based or something else?

I really like to read though I am not a bookworm. From the time I graduated college I already seldom reads a book unlike during high school days, I have Nancy Drew Adventures and the Tagalog Pocketbooks by Precious Hearts Romance especially the Kristine Series and during college days I did continue reading but I started to include spiritual books and magazine I also have books such as Chocolate for a Woman's Soul and some other inspirational books
However, this days, I only manage to finish reading "Little Prince" and when we had the trailer of breaking dawn part 1, I already started reading the breaking dawn book however until now I still haven't finish reading it. I just don't have enough time doing so. I am looking forward to finish it and starts the first series of the hunger games. (Yes I know I am already left behind though I still want to finish reading the Hunger Games Series).
I believe most of the books I've read have something that really touch my heart though in different genre, the fact that most of them gives me enough inspiration in all aspects of my life.
Also, I just do hope I could also have a copy of the book you have just said by Dr. Joseph Murphy to have a life changing experience.
Anyway, have a happy reading!

Besides the favorite books I do on rereding, I´m always fascinated by a new book. My sister lent me a book by an wesome author that I had missed: Nadine Gordimer. The writer (1991 Nobel prize) wrote a wonderful book that I can relate to very much now as it is about a person with cancer. The name is "Get a life" and I recommend it very much. And for those that don´t life very long books, this one isn´t.

I have not read a book for some time now. Not that I am not interested to read any more books but the problem is that internet has changed some of my habits and I do not enough time to read books any more. There are many books, which I can list here as my favorite books but I would like to mention 'Devil's alternative' and 'stiletto' in this post. I really could not leave both of these until I finished them, in one go, both of them.

yes thats true, but only one book to teach and answesr all your question in your mind, from the beginning and the end. Quest what? you have an idea? if you read books your intention is to meditate and analyze, the very important in the world is your everlasting life. Read it what you want but dont forget to read the word of God, this is the important book to teach you what is your important why God Created you.

well not in that sense. i am a history fanatic and i have read a lot of non ficitons on the a number of historical subject and my favourite was a book about bad decisions that affected history such as the man who created mustard gas during WW1 went on to be persecuted by the Nazis. (probably only another history fanatic would find the book interesting though!)
i hope to read a book called 'Crazy Love' by Francis Chan about God's love for us.

I recently read "Awakening to the dream" by Leo Hartong and it is a book about self-realization. I have read many other books about that topic, but that book is one of the best books I have read. It made me realize some things in a different way, but it is very difficult to put the experience into words. I read that the same author has written another book, and I really want to read that one as well. I haven't had that kind of experience since I read the books by Wayne Dyer. I like is books a lot. My favourite book is "You will see it when you believe it" but I also like most of his other books and I have read them many times.

I tend to like real life and history. One book I love, and have read several times is Thomas Sowell's "A personal Odyssey".
I suppose I like this one because like Sowell, I had a horrible time in school, and he like me, are divisive people, and both of tend to find trouble wherever we were.
Unlike him, I was never smart enough to get out of trouble lol. But it's still a great story of overcoming the worst possible odds, and working through it.
I also was blown away reading "Panama Fever" by Matthew Parker.
Amazing story of the history the Panama Canal.
Just an amazing event in history. Hard to believe something that seems so insignificant today, was a world problem that cost possibly hundreds of thousands of lives in the past.

lately been reading few books or novels which are quite scary and touching. One of them is about child abuse called Broken , talks about the recallation of child abuse by a victim, the abuse started very young as baby upto teenager abuse by parents , neighbours and such. It was quite bad scary story and the abuse details was quite scary. Games of thrones is fantasy novel which is nice also with big twists and human drama and violent too.

Currently Im reading Game of Thrones - The first book of the series. Its amazing. I think about Westeros a lot in my free time. Coming to self help books, The Richest Man in Babylon and Rich Dad Poor Dad are quite good for the financially- minded.
