Would you lend your friend a phone?

I have lots of old phones. I was an amateur cellphone tech. Due to lack of funds I wasn't able to put a shop and get a license for being a technician of these gadgets. And I still keep broken ones for purpose. Once, one of guitarist, Matzunaga has his phone lost or stolen when meeting up a band member. Being the one responsible of the band's activities and improvement; I make sure that Zero percent band (that's the name of the band) has all of the things that they need along with finding gigs for them and such. One of my friend approach me, and of all the heck; asked how are they going to stay connected if a band member doesn't have any cellphone. I gave him a hand-me-down cellphone. I gave them rules in using and lending/ borrowing this gadget along with the team. Just going to be the same as what I'm doing with my core team (or the best of the best persons that I have in the group, like vice presidents should you say) I saw improvements; they performed well and coordinated with me better with the old cellphone. Having communication counts and as of this point; this is very rewarding for me because it still follows my motto in life, "every chance that you give is a change that you sees..." And so does the whole core (event) team that I have. Would you give a new cellphone? or lend a cellphone to someone who's in need? have you experience a same scenario like this; like lending your phone to your family member, relative or to your friend? Share me then, it counts to share it here at mylot ^___^-)

I would share with someone in need. Once a relative's phone was broken. I let them borrow mine until they got a new one.

Two months before I was having two cell phones. One was Nokia 2626 and other was Nokia X3-00. The phone 2626 was given by my uncle and the other phone was bought myself with the money. I don't want two phones at a time and I cannot use them at the same instant. So I gave my old cell phone to my lovely contusion who is in search of a phone. This really helped me to see a cute smile on his face.

Sure why not? I do have a lot of old cellphones which are fully functional. I don't mind if someone borrows or asks them from me, in fact right now I'm thinking of selling them at a very low cost just to be able to find some use for them. They're still in prime condition because I really take care of the phones I have - most of which was given to me. However, if I were in your shoes, I would think twice before lending it to band members who have lost their phones several times. I mean, these are not the ordinary phones, these are high-end phones that are in good condition. Perhaps if they promise never to lose or put a scratch on them, then that would be fine with me. I guess the only phone I will not lend is the phone that I am currently using. Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

I have actually done that, when I buy a new model, I give away the old one which I would have used it to my heart's content to some one who is indeed really in need of it. But if it is for a family member, I actually lend it but if it is for someone who is in need of like maid or gardener, I give it at a throw away prize for it should be like they too have to feel that they have purchased it for themselves and should not feel that I might ask it back one day.

I would let my friends and family send one or two messages or maybe call somebody if they needed to for whatever reason, but I would never give them a cell phone. The reason for this is because you can buy mobile phones so cheaply these days that there is literally no reason for you to have to give one to somebody else at all. I would never let a stranger have anything from my phone though, as there are people around where I live who would take that chance to take your phone and never give it back to you, so you have to be very careful because of this.

I'd let them borrow a phone for a few calls or so. Although I don't think I'd lend them one outright. I only have one cell, so it wouldn't be possible for me to lend them one, but if they needed to make a few quick calls, I wouldn't mind.

When I get a new phone, I usually donate my old cell phone so I don't have any laying around the house... But I have landed my cell phone to my friend few times... Since I use my phone for work purposes, too, it's hard for me to go a day without it... But on my days off or when I'm on vacation, I have let my friend borrow my cell phone...

I will lend a friend or family members a phone or anything that I need as long as I have it. =) I've already shared my old phones to my sister and my mother several times. Some, I don't even ask back, I just give it to them. =) You have a very nice heart, and must have team good system implemented that's why your team (core) and even the band performs better. =)

I have only one cellphone only and i have no intend to borrow anyone's phone. If i don't have a cellphone, then it is not big problem with me also, just live with no cellphone. I used to be like that for 2 years. If someone borrows my phone to make a phone call, no problem, but borrows my phone for keeping in some days, sure i will say NO. Cellphone is my private thing also.

I would only lend someone a phone if I had a second one. I have one sim card and cannot afford to lose it as all my info would be gone. I use it mostly for emergency situations, telling the time, texting (very seldom) and for phone numbers. I am not a phone freak and really only use it for business. I have no time to be idle as I service six sites besides my own writing... so one phone.
