If we want a big change we need to switch our beliefs as well. Someone told me this. And I am so happy to talk with people who have a positive thinking/outlook in life. Changing beliefs will automatically changes your behavior.

Are you talking about religious beliefs here? If that is the case, changing your beliefs will not automatically change your behavoir rather applying what you believe is the key to make a change. If you have beliefs but you do not do anything to live with it, all of it will be useless. One needs to battle with his own self to make a change. It's not easy to change your behavoir by just doing that, it will take some time.

As long as that beliefs are based on the truth- yes, certainly it would make a person a better one.

Our behavior is definitely relevant to what we have think based on what we believe in. Psychosocial functioning is really affected by environment we are in, the people we interact with especially family and friends, employment setting, educational attainment, and religion which really influences moral values. Our behavior would surely reflect the kind of personality we have our acquired based on the above psychosocial factors.

Yes I believe in this too. That if we want to change our bhaviors or attitudes, we have to change our beliefs because it all starts in our minds. Then we take the action to make it real.

I assume you mean by: changing believes, changing your opinions? If so I agree with it. A change should be on all aspects of your life, otherwise it would not work.

it is not necessary to change our belief when we want to have a big change. Change will always start within ourselves. We can change our attitude for better even without changing what we are believing right now. On the other hand, if what we believe is wrong, then you should change your belief.

Yes its true, our personality is direct reflection of our thoughts, one can change the entire life by changing thinking patterns. have you read the book or watched the movie- "The Secret", its all about the same topic. I am working on this actually. :)

We are affected by the external our entire life, and we are unique in which way we handle them. If we want a big change we don't need to change our beliefs, familiarizing oneself with something and accepting both truths of a topic is the best way of furthering ourselves. I don't believe we change behavior, we add to ours and others see it as "good" or "bad". If we remove ourselves from a situation, we are what others think we are, and nothing more
