Ants are all over our kitchen. It drives me crazy. Out kitchen is always clean but these little creature still manage to penetrate even the covered food in our pantry. They say that ants are active because it is summer, but they are really causing so much extra work for us in the house. Do you know what is the best way to get rid of those ants? Thank you for sharing, it will really help me to know your thoughts on this.

There are many suggestions here in mylot regarding how to get rid of ants. Some says that applying cinnamon powder on their track will drive them away. Others says that sprayng them with coffee dissolved in water can also help. While others suggest that using artificial sweeteners can be also used to kill ants. They said that it was the first intention why it was made. Hope this will help you.

I used to make use of certain chemical powder to drive the coup away from me. They are chemicals and it can be a poison so i used to handle them with care. My mother used my kitchen clean and tidy. So there will be anymore ants in my kitchen.

Good luck I also have the same problem. I have tried everything. I even did one of those bomb pesticide things and they still are here. I think they could survive anything.

Hi Sandra_Hatfield, I certainly hope I could eliminate them because they are totally driving me crazy. I will try some of the recommendations posted by our fellow myLotters here and hope that it will work.

I bought small (plastic) boxes with toxic in it .. but it takes some days/weeks till it's less. At certain times a day they came out under the kitchen cupboard so we vacuumed that part. They say vinegar will help (clean everything with it) also plant a tree/have a tree nearby, but I do have trees and that doesn't work. Also I closed some holes I saw.. you can put some toxic (powder) there as well.. they have to take it to their nest.

Hello stephen_ray_07, I am currently trying the pesticide chalk but I was told that it will only work for other pests such as cockroach but I will check still. Thank you for your recommendation.

Hi! I have the same problem before so what I did was every time I wipe tables or kitchen sink I spray first with liquid bleach and then locate where they are hiding because most of the time some of them are just hiding in specific place in your house, though we can kill the others but still the others that remain will just go back if we forget to clean left off food particles.
