Help! My girl friend chopped some chilli and now its like her hands are burning!

She did not use any gloves unfortunately... She said its the first time she chopped chilli so she never experienced this before. She tried to endure it just to finish cooking then she thoroughly washed her hands but still her hands feel like their burning! I tried liquid soap, alcohol nothings working. Does anyone else had any experience like this? If so can you share any remedies for this?
