No Cappuccino after meal?

I love having coffee every after meal. I feel as if it aids in digestion especially if I am in n mood for tea. I am not really picky when it comes to my coffee so most of the time it doesn't matter if I will be served cappuccino after meal.
But I have a friend who told me that in Italy, cappuccino is only served every morning and it is not serve every after meal. He also said that drinking cappuccino after a meal is a no-no for Italians.
I am not sure about this but I would love to hear your thoughts fellow myLotters

While I too do have coffee just after meals at times, I have read this as well as heard from elders that coffee or even tea should preferably be consumed some time after meal. These are alright with cookies, or bread but not with other heavier stuff like vegetables or meats.
So, may be Italians follow this kind of thing and have gap between coffee and meals.
