To Filipino mylotters... do you have a feeling that you aint fully satisfied with a meal if it does not involve rice? Are you OK with just bread or pizza or spaghetti for your meal??? What say you?

Oh, only with rice is satisfied :) Rice is main food in our meal (i'm not Filipino). I sometimes eat other food but I can't continue eating for two days.

Yes i could survive without rice even for days, weeks or for eternity. I've tried that. I think to some people it's just psychological. The truth is pasta is heavier than rice so it could really fill your stomach.

I can live without rice. A lsice of izza and a coke be enough for me for a meal.:-) Sometimes, just a bowl of chicken wanton for dinner, I'm satiated already.
I like rice but if there are carbohydrate-rich food being served, I only choose the kind that is lighter. Even if we are known to be rice-eaters, there are still plenty of us who can live with just bread, spaghetti or pizza for a meal. i'm one of those. :-)

hello there kabayan. I love rice specially with veggies, I can't resist to have more of it but I sometimes skip on rice as I have slow metabolism eating rice everyday gains me weight. I prefer more to have bread and pasta as it keeps me full easier and I don't get hungry until the last 6 hours.

Since rice is our staple food and we are accustomed to eating it since we were young, it is uneventful not to crave for it during meals. I do look for rice whenever I am eating and it seems not complete eating a meal without rice. Maybe those who are avoiding rice or in a diet can resist eating it. But I can say that I am alright with just bread or pasta. But only having them frequently can surely trigger my love for rice.

I am too much of a Filipino to be satisfied with spaghetti, pizza or bread. I don't feel full without rice. It certainly gives me the energy to work all day. I have been so used to eating rice that I feel hungry if I skip a meal. I am trying to control my rice intake but I don't feel satisfied like today. There was only a small amount of rice left for my lunch and I was too lazy to cook again. I ate some bananaQ and now I am suffering from stomach pains. Seems like the bananaQ was not digested properly.

I eat rice everyday but not every meal. I am satisfied if I can eat rice for my lunch and dinner. But then as a Filipino we also love our famous bread (pandesal) in the morning with scramble eggs, hotdogs and coffee which makes my day complete and satisfied. Anyway, rice, bread or pasta I can be satisfied as long it is available when I am hungry.
