Gonna wash dishes now while listening to the oldies station

I have Pandora on my phone so when I work out in the kitchen I like to turn it on and listen to my favorite oldies. I have some dishes to do, and I think I will go ahead and sweep and mop the floor in the kitchen. I can't seem to stay motivated unless I am listening to music.
Do you work better when you are enjoying music?

Oh, I felt weird reading your topic cause you have things to do in line when it's already midnight in here... I feel like you also live in the same time of the day...but no, i guess you are in the day time now and i am now getting dizzy have to sleep, but i have to keep on posting more to reach my target earnings... I feel like zombie sometimes all of the people in here are asleep while i am typing...
Oh well, back to the topic, I sometimes listen to music while doing household chores. sometimes i just sing while doing anything. sometimes i do like music while typing in here but my mind can't focus one thing at a time so i prefer not to listen sometimes while typing. If i had to listen, i'll just go and watch video of music as well...^_^

What part of the world are you from? I have friends from Germany and India. It is always 6 hours difference in Germany from me and about 10 hours different in India I think. When I am ready for sleep you are up in the day. It's so awesome to make friends around the world.
I used to like to sing but now I just like to play my music.

Yes, it does feel good to have friends from all over the world. Can you feel it now? Internet has been making the world smaller as if like we are all seeing each other face to face when we do the talk in here...
I am from the Phillippines that's why the time difference is far. Oh, do you have the same time as mylot does? cause it's like May25 12pm now in here but in mylot time, it's May 24 at 11pm now... seems like you are sleeping now huh?
Oh well, then I'll just wait for you to wake up by may 25 and join me here again...

Oh, I forgot about the music...sorry about that. well, why don't you like to sing anymore? I guess when we age, our voice also changes and sometimes we also feel like having sore throats or hard to sing again... I guess it depends on moods as well.
Do you have instruments to play with? or you just play the radio or cd's on?

it is common for most people, music stimulates the brain, so it gives you more energy in this case,

I wonder why I can do so much better with music. It must do something to the brain cause I am a real worker with music on and not such a good worker without music.

I get a lot more done when working in the house with music on. If I am concentrating on writing work I like it quiet too.

I really enjoy it. I like the music of my teens. I love going back to those times in my head.

Today was the last day of school. Students just came and picked up report cards. I am moving to a larger classroom, but that meant boxing everything up. I was doing great listening to music and getting stuff done. Then our tech guy decided that we did not need internet anymore and shut it off to our building (just an upgrade and it will be back tomorrow)....not much more work got done after so I finally just called it quits and came home.
Now to put music on and get to work. Only a list of 20 things to do before my inlaws get here.

If I am doing active things music sometimes helps. If I am working online, music distracts me. I am online today right now, catching up with some stuff and corresponding with some schedulers.

I enjoyed listening to music whenever I'm doing, specially when cleaning the house. It gives me more interest in what I'm doing. And it is delightful to the feeling when you heard something good in your ears.

I always like to listen to the radio whilst I am working, because I find that it helps me to be more productive. I work from home writing articles, and when I am sitting in silence, I often find that it is an absolute struggle for me to concentrate as much as I need to, whereas if I put a little bit of music on I find that I am able to do a lot more work in the same amount of time. I was sitting outside in the sunshine today listening to my music, and I found that this combination of factors meant that I could have a very effective working day indeed!

I'm a writer too and I like it quiet when I write. I used to be able to write 5 to 7 articles in a day but it's a real struggle for me now.

I know what you mean. If I need to concentrate on writing articles I need it quiet. I can have the tv on low but I don't want distractions. Active work I like music.

hi there.
yes, i get more motivated doing any thing with the music on. and the music i listen to depends on things i am currently doing. like during study i listen to smooth music genre like country, jazz, and some mellow rock. when i exercise or do some chores, i listen to hip hop/rap just to get me energized. it's great doing stuff along with great music.
good day!

I grew up in the 1960s so I like the music of that time. It makes me feel younger too. I'm very motivated when I play the music on my phone.

Hello friend, yes, listening to music while working can alter the way I look at my chores. Music serves as my means of enthusiasm and energy to get the job done. As a matter of fact, I feel more productive whenever I am listening to music while working. It can really make a whole lot of difference.

I love listening to music and I find it helps me get a move on things, and concentrate. I use to listen to a lot of music while studying in college. Now I do at work if I can, or while MyLotting here. I hope you enjoy washing the dishes and the music.

Yep. I got the dishes done. I did 2 loads of laundry. I showered and cleaned my room. I got my drawers rearranged and tossed stuff that I don't wear. Now I am laying down mylotting awhile. Oh and I made lunch. I cut up 2 Vidalia onions and added butter and salt and pepper and nuked them for 9 minutes. Yummy!
