I want to make dishes with soft meat, but i take long time to soften it... are there any way or ingredients that can make meat soften faster? I've heard about milk and papaya's sap but i don't know it's true or not...

There are a number of ways to tenderize meat..slow cooking in a crock pot would be one method, there are tenderizing kitchen implements available to break up the meat fibres, and there are various marinades that can be used containing acids used in cooking such as vinegar or Lime Juice that will do the job..I'm not familiar with the Papaya method, but if it was recommended,it might be worth trying it out..good luck with your cooking!

Acid things, but wouldn't it be sour? Never tried the papaya before... Thanx I'll try it...

I have worked in a Hotel in Germany in the past, and a beef dish prepared in this way was a local speciality..it was called "Sauerbraten"..it wasn't overly sour, the vinegar was a marinade used before cooking, and the sauce made it milder..it was an interesting dish..quite mouthwatering!

A small piece of betel nut in the water will make the toughest old goat soft - perhaps a little too soft!
