I know someone who has about 10 cats because she adopts those kittens she found outside their home. It was so kind of her to do. I love cats also. I had 1 when I was younger and I named her after my favorite actress that time. I call her Aiko Miming. :) Aiko was from Aiko melendez's name who was quite famous that time. And Miming is how we used to call cats in general back in the province.

My first cat was a stray kitten who turned up as a surprise visitor on my doorstep one winter night..I brought him in and He then stayed with me 6 years...

I am a crazy cat lady. I have too many cats, but they are ALL rescues. Now, some are more rescued than others, but in the end, they were rescued. I think rescued is the best breed of cat, even the ones I can't touch!

Hi, I'm very much like the person you know with 10 cats. I've basically adopted the whole neighborhood of cats and kittens in my area. I have around 12 ( so far ) . I love them dearly and have found that they truly make wonderful companions.

I've tried adopting stray kittens more often than not in my childhood...and keyword "tried". My father won't let me have a cat pet back then, he doesn't like cats, he's a dog person; and my older sister won't let any felines near her because she has an asthma and she doesn't really like them shredding their fur, she doesn't appreciate cats really. I remember always crying whenever I would return home with a kitten I got from the streets and the family scolding me for bringing it at home. T^T But I'm glad when I reached my teen years and a kitten just decided to appear in our backyard, my older bro had started to turn a liking on cats and our parents just ignored it when he said that he's gonna adopt it. Well at least I got to finally have a furry friend at last, (although it left our home and did not come back anymore, he left just last year and I was devastated). :((

I have rescued stray cats and feral cats from time to time. The mother of five of my current seven cats was a stray that my daughter in-law rescued and gave to me. I have rescued several of the dogs that I have had over the years from animal shelters. One of them, a Siberian Husky, had distemper when I got her from the shelter. I caught that just in time and we, my vet and I, pulled her through that ordeal. The vet told me that she survived because she knew that I loved her. I've forgotten how many nights I sat up and held her in my arms all night long.

I never rescued a stray cat but me and my friend rescued a few stray dogs. In my country stray dogs are a real problem. They seem to be everywhere, nobody wants them on streets, yet few things are done to solve the problem. It is so difficult to find homes for the poor dogs!
