I was puttering around the interweb, as I do on sleepless nights, seeking and learning and thinking and pondering, and as I did so, I came across this lovely video on a Blog I read from time to time to help me learn better networking skills. It's about 2 minutes long, and worth nearly every second.

Now, what I want to know is, What about Mr.Spaceys reply to the young man did you enjoy most? and What spoke the loudest to you in the video?

First of all, I adore Kevin Spacey. He has been one of my favorite and I lament, under rated actors ever. What I think he was trying to get at most was that young people should not look out into the world for the next big thing. Rather they should look within themselves and develop personal talents and interests that they can then present to whatever direction or career they choose. Thanks for the video.

Personally I think a lot of kids ignore their talents. Whether it is the parent saying it is a waste of time or the child just doesn't realize they can make a career out of a hobby. How many more gymnasts, woodworkers, or even professional skateboarders and yes there is such a thing ha ha, would there be if someone would have just paid attention? Not everyone can be a doctor or lawyer and not everyone wants to.

I wouldn't worry about it, with the ling being 8 or 9 years old, it isn't very likely to still be available.
