This has been the hottest issue on the stock news recently. Well, personally, I think that Facebook is overpriced and the advertising revenue is not performing as good. In the long term, Facebook will have to do something to improve their income or else their stock price will drop even more.
If invest in the long term, Facebook will be a great stock because in the long term Facebook will be covering more and more people all around the world. Some of the things that are not added to Facebook:
1. Instagram - Since Instagram is bought by Facebook, but until now Facebook has not added the features and functions to Facebook. So, I think that if this news is out, the stock price might have a good boost.
2. Advertising on Photos - Facebook can also do some advertising on photos to improve revenue. I personally think that photos get a lot of views on Facebook. If they can place ads on photos, it will help boost advertising income.
3. Paid Facebook Pages - This might be another revenue stream for Facebook. Paid Facebook can enable extra features to users such as customization adn etc.
All in all, I think that Facebook still have a lot of things can do to improve their income. It is up to Facebook whether to implement or not. In the future, Facebook stock price might go to $60.00 if they have proper way to monetize their site.
What do you think?

I think facebook has it's day just like all the rest of the sites. Myspace was there for a long time, Twitter is hanging on and if you really start talking to people they don't even have facebooks. I forsee it going away just like myspace and just being in the background unless they come out with some really cool features or something. I still don't like having my life displayed to everyone so I won't be using it either way.

I don't think Facebook is every going to reach the numbers you mentioned; specially, when many of my friends are leaving now. They don't like the time line and the games are slow loading. I prefer to play fast loading easy to play games that don't require me to have a huge friends list.

Hi,
Thanks for your comment. You point out an important point about Facebook. A lot of time, I think that Facebook is almost perfect as a social net work site. But there are still weakness as you mentioned - the game loading time.
Other weaknesses I can think of is the slow loading of Facebook recently. It is sometimes annoying.

I didn't bother to know this until today that I read this discussion. I also heard that FB will charge the fan page users to be able to get communicate with their fans which actually sadden me a bit, I had several fan page and will just let it go if FB charge us for using it.

I doubt facebook is a good long term investment. It's a great social media site but that is really as far as it goes. Social media sites come and go while I'm sure Zuckerberger might can hang on with his site for a few more years, I don't see it last as a long term investment.
