My new roommate: What would you do in this situation

Just when I decided that I love living alone I discovered that I have a new roommate.
A wasp has been "hanging out" in my bedroom. It usually likes being next to the window where it's warm and sunny.
Last night when I went to bed I noticed it was camped out on my blinds next to my bed. Before I went to sleep I made a verbal agreement with this little critter.
I WON'T HURT YOU IF YOU DON'T HURT ME.
A awoke the next morning alive and well. It was located in the exact same place as it was before I went to sleep. I guess we all have our own ways of dealing with these things.
What would you have done differently?

I had a wasp in my house the other day and I had to kill it. My youngest is highly allergic to bees and wasps. If she gets stung she has minutes to get to a hospital or she could die! I would much rather keep my daughter alive.
If it was just me in the house I would probably have let it be too.

I saw this thing on the Discovery Channel about a certain spices of wasps . The females after the mating season , start exploring burrows in search of healthy living organisms and when she finds one , she lays her eggs inside the animal and when the eggs hatch the larvae eat there way out of the host organism until there wings are well developed and become strong enough to get them airborne and repeat the cycle with another organism after the next mating season. Just something to think about.
If I was in your shoes and I have been actually but it wasn't a wasp it was a killer bee , I ignored it , it got caught up in my T-shirt flying around and then it stung me on my back . That sting hurts like hell and I had this projection thingie on my back for quite a while, then somebody advised me to pour kerosene on it so I did. It healed , but I don't know if it was the kerosene or a coincidence.
so I recommend you should stay away from it , if you approach it , it might be threatened and might use its venomous stinger as a defense .
In other words you were doing fine with the motto of "DON'T HURT ME , I WONT HURT YOU"

I would probably let it be or open a window so maybe it might fly away. Then again an open window might attract other things to my house. I would not kill it unless it bothered me. I do not like being stung but I figure if I leave it alone it will leave me alone.

i don't like killing animals, plants, etc. however, i have children & fear for their safety. yesterday, i drowned a spider in the bathtub. i could've taken it outside, but i didn't want to get bitten. wasps can be mean, so sorry to say, i would've gotten a can of wasp spray & sprayed it.
i have a lot of respect for you, though. that's pretty cool that you're letting it live there with you. i just hope you don't end up regretting that decision!

i honestly believe the would have been a really big mess on the blinds if i was in that situation. the only way i would have let the wasp make it was that it did what you said, and jus mind his own business..then i would have prolly let the window up the next day and let him go home to his kids..so you respect my house..i make sure you go back to yours!
