My parents always told me when I was a kid that the lilies in our house would blossom for my birthday. I liked that very much when i was a kid. This year a few days before my birthday my father asked me to bring my camera and take pictures of "something". Lilies! A red and a white. Huge lilies! These are memories of our parents that remain forever. Check out the photo!

Personally I don't like lilies but it is special they blossom for your birthday and did again. As my son was born the magnolia tree in front of my bedroom window was full of blossom. And each year it is again even I take of a big part of that tree (by now it's the only tree left over in my garden). I wonder if more people or parents have a memory like that with a flower or tree.
Thanks for sharing.

Very pretty! I sure like the pink and white ones. So beautiful!(My favorite color is pink) I hear they smell good too. They had lilies on Martha Stewart yesterday. They said that once you plant them they will come back for ages and bigger each time. Nice memory for you to have. Mine is with lilacs and iris.

Well, yes, I agree. The flowers are a wonderful thing of nature. For this, on my own deserve immense respect. Maybe from your family there has always been the tradition of lilies for birthdays. I live in the city and therefore, having no garden, I can not have the hobby of gardening.
I'm happy for you, your photo is wonderful, where he portrays a white lily and a red.
Love for nature!
