My friend asked me to go with him in a town 200 klm from our hometown. He is a technician and had to pick up a computer from a client to fix it. Would you say no to a free ride? No way! We had fun and he wasn't bored driving alone. On the way back we stopped at a nice place by the sea, known for the fresh fish. I took some nice pics.

That looks like a wonderful spot. I cannot believe how flat the water is for a sea! If that place was here, you would never be eating like that with tables right on the sand. There would be paved or decked areas and you would be further away from the water due to tides and rough seas. That looks very inviting. Might have to come visit!

I see what you mean on the map. Vastly different to our straight coastline that faces out into the Pacific Ocean here. I would love to visit. I can imagine that Greece could do with the tourism dollars at the moment too! But, it is so incredibly far from here!

It sounds like you had a great trip together I wouldn't have said no to a free trip either, it is always interesting to visit a different place, and I love road trips. I am sure that your friend was happy that he didn't have to drive alone, it is more fun to have company. I hope that I will also manage to visit some places with my friends this summer. I have to work most of the time, but I also want to relax and have fun with my friends sometimes. We have planned a daytrip to a German island.

Go and have fun. We all need to reload our batteries from time to time. And friends can do that.

Oh, I haven't been by the ocean for so long. I went to the coast with my ex and we bought a crab then went to another place where they steamed it for us and we got a nice salad to go with it. What a treat! We were eating fish all the time we were there. Counldn't get enough. I mish it so much. A nice ride with a friend and a good dinner too. Can't ask for much more for a nice day.

It depends on the kind of ride.. how I feel and if I like to spend so much time in a car. I don't see a reason to just drive for hours around just because someone else is bored.. sitting in the car next to someone is boring to me. Also I am easily car sick and not able to read or so (makes me sick as well). I only like it if I can drive myself. But your free ride sounds like a day out :-D

A car is not the place to read. I went because I got to spend time with my best friend. That's all.
