Mt best friend was here yesterday, she visit her facebook account and do some likingon the pictures of her friends. She saw her friend posting her great signature pose, she called me and told me to look at the picture of her friend and were reading the comments of the picture. Her friend has normal beauty but I think she weighs 200 lbs. Most of the comments are saying "wow your so sexy on that pose" some are your so beautiful in that dress. My friend react on the comments of her friends picture. She just told me why are they keep telling her that she is sexy are they making her sweet talk on my friends picture? If I were the one who is on the picture I might get insulted on their comments. Knowing to myself that I'm not that sexy because I weight 200lbs. I replied to her ,no maybe the words sexy to them is nice or good. I told her everybody has it's own definition of the words, it is only how you can accept it. If you were on the picture and someone commented on you that is not appropriate on how you looks, how will you feel about it? Please share mylotters....

Just what I thought so, my friend only cared about the feeling of her friend. I just told her maybe she can handle some negative comments for she knew it before she posted that picture of her.

Just say thank you to them, if I were in the picture. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, isn't it? We really cannot judge them, everyone has its own reason and everyone has its own definition of the word beauty

I do not like to be off topic too far, but this discussion gives me a chance to remind people that it is dangerous to post photos of one's self in cyberspace. Many people do not realize that when you put up a photo it is forever, even if you change your mind later and take it down, it is still in the cache and/or saved on somebody else's computer. Many people prowl around in real space and also in cyberspace looking for someone to victimize. That said, I do not thing your word sexy has anything to do with a person's weight as what people view as desirable is different for each person. I do not think someone should feel either proud or insulted, it is just people being friendly. One should exercise great care, however, in how much information they give out. There are grave consequences of identity theft, so people need to guard against that happening.

Sexiness is how someone carry her/his self and not from the figure a person have. I don't find skinny people sexy (sorry) I was skinny during my teenage days and never find myself sexy or attractive. I started to gain weight this past years and some say I look better than before. I admit I do not feel comfortable with my body, especially when wearing some clothes and won't fit me anymore (old clothes) But- looking at myself much younger to look being chubby would be fine, than losing weight and looks older (hahaha) Oh well- it depends on how people measure and define sexy. I find men sexy the way he talk- smart and interesting.

I gained a bit weight before, stomach's coming out already with the small sized blouse I was wearing... I never realized until a friend told me that I am getting fat and asking if I am pregnant I feel offended but since it is true then I accepted it and laughed. There were some saying that I look good but if I know that I look bad on a photo, I would really tell them that I find myself ugly or fat in the photo. Better to hear those words than have someone praise me when they really shouldn;t have to.

Oh wow I really think it would completely destroy my self-confidence, yet at the same time sometimes criticism can be constructive I guess that would depend on whether the person criticising was trying to be constructive and helpful or just plain nasty...

You can feel sexy and beautiful even with a 200-lb weight. It is your choice and if I am at her foot I will never be insulted. A person should feel better for herself even with excess weight, haha. It is in the way you handle and show yourself that matters.

So 200 pound women can't be sexy? Sexy is a state of mind. If I know I look good and I feel good about myself, then I should feel good about those comments and accept them. If I feel like a dump and everyone tells me how oretty and sexy I am I might not believe them and take them as insults because I believe they are insincere and not being honest. It all starts and stops with the self. If you think 200 pound women are ugly then you might not take the compliment. I believe we can be sexy at any weight. It's all in how we feel about ourselves and what one's definition of sexy is. To me sexy is a state of mind combined with a neat appearance.

Thanks Lyn. I'm a heavy lady. I have managed to keep 100 plus pounds off but still am heavy. However I don't think I'm hard to look at for almost 62 years of age. If I feel bad about myself others will know it.

You have to learn a lot. If you really think that all slim ladies are sexy (or men) you are totally wrong! The weight has nothing to do with being sexy or not. Personally I find the skinny types far of sexy as well. Being sexy has to do with the way you look, your eyes, the way you move, dress, the complete picture of your inside and outside. And that is exactly why so many women are able to attract every man they like no matter their weight of if they are a so called beauty and the skinny types are left over.
