although i would not say i got spoiled as i did work hard at home when i was kid. i could some kids just work for their family, because their parents are poor. that these young children do work hard for their parents. and i don't understand why the parents allow their child go through those hard work. although they are very poor and have barely anything to eat. it is just hard to see those kids being exposed to hard labor just to give something to their parents who may be sick or disabled also.

I've also feel respected to them coz it is not easy to be really independent at a young age.So i think they also taken the responsibilities earlier than other people.Maybe that's the reason that why i do not want to work after gradutation.Since i'm also spoiled, which i need to get a change.

Actually based on what I have seen, children that work hard labour at a too early age, and I mean hard labour. Really stays in poverty. And I think the reason behind it is because they can't pay much attention on their school work. They are out in the sun working like every single day after school, and right through the weekend. They don't pick up the higher class way of working but rather the poverty class. So their mentality stays the same way and they grow up doing the same thing to their kids. Well some of them. I have seen a few of them even escape it and turned doctors. Remember one girl came in the news that usually sell newspaper everyday on the street side. And guess what, this is her last year in medical school so I am really proud of her. But her mother was understanding to me, her mother didn't pressure her, and she got time to study, based on how she talked about it on the news that is. Well she will hopefully start working soon, and will be able to pay off back her student loan soon and be able to help her mother. her mother is like so proud.

I think children should not be made to work no matter what the compulsions are.God created humans who pass through different stages of life ,children should be able to enjoy their childhood , they can work later on , we as responsible citizens of the society should see to this .

Ok that is true and according to most laws, children shouldn't even work until a certain age. But tell your honest opinion, what would you do if that is the only way you can survive. What would you do if that is the only way you can send your child to school (well it would be the child sending themselves to school but you get the idea right). I don't support this at all but really, I believe if that is the only way possible for the kid to go school, then it will either be that or adoption. And no parent doesn't want to see their child get taken away from them.

i am disabled, but i refuse to put my kids to work to take care of me. this is why i joined the military at a young age. i got my benefits and was able to start my business. this way my children will have something for when they grow up. i don't want my kids to be the one to have to struggle.

What if you hadn't made that choice of joining the military. What then? Would you still not put them out there to work? I am just wondering on your side? Just trying to build a conversation.

It's not really surprising to know this 'cause the place where I live, I often see kids working. But they have nothing else for their living. But it's true they lose their childhood and many things that we got to enjoy. It maybe true that they are looking at rich kids of their age and missing what they deserved.

Life may seem unfair for these kids. At their age they should be enjoying their childhood. Doing things that normally children would do like play with other kids and go to school. They were deprived to do what they want. I've seen this kind of scenario in a television show. At a young age, they need to stand up and do the responsibilities of their parents.

While it's hard to see kids having to work so hard at a young age, sometimes there are no alternatives. Even if everyone in the family is doing their share, there are times when there simply isn't enough to go around. It doesn't hurt kids a bit to take on some responsibilities. It teaches them that they can do things and it's good for their self image. Having to work too hard isn't good and I will agree to that. But if a kid never works, the chances of him growing up to be a productive member of society is slim.

it breaks my heart to see young children doing hard labor, especially now that I have my own son. I could not imagine him doing that and as a parent I will do everything just to keep him away from doing that. I understand that they are poor but as a parent you have the responsibility to raise, feed and cloth your children. It is not their obligation to work for the family especially if they are still minor. Here in our country, I always see children begging for money, collecting garbage, and selling something. Most of them wear torn clothes with barefoot. The government is doing the best way they can but their parents seemed to don't care. I wonder why and it is just sad.
