There are educational books. Medical books, engineering books, programming books, and other sort of books that are not being used any more. but i feel that it is a waste to throw them since they are all in good condition. but we don't know any one who would be needing them. i may try to advertise to give away these free books to those who may be interested.

Throwing away books is a crime. All that hard earned knowledge. Give it to the shelter or to a library. I once gave more than fifty books to a bookshop in Cape Town... and a whole collection of Agatha Christie mysteries. There just was no place for these books. But I would never dream of throwing books away. Leave it on a subway bench; people like things for free. Me too, especially books.

When I do not want books anymore I donate them To thrift stores. You can also if you do not want them you can sell them on ebay or amazon. I know there was a book I really wanted and the book retail price was 35.99 and I went to amazon and got the same book for 2.99. It was a great deal.

B00ks ,I sooo... love them .My children persued different fields ,one engeneering ando the other medicine so I told them to give it to their juniors , books cost a lot these days , the syllabus does not change much in a year ,but if you keep them for a long time they do become outdated .You can try donating them to a school or a public library.

No that is not the right way to deal with books. There are so many people who might be interested to collect them from you. Otherwise also we can always sale them on reduced prices to needy ones who are looking for them. I am not aware in your place but in our country there are number of used book sellers who bye them in half price and resell them with their own margin.
