Before the digital age, we all used to take pictures using film cameras and a film. We used to own had 110 format and 136. Back then, we were contented with taking just 1 or 2 films (36 shots per film) for every occasion. That's why we were very picky of what shots to take, of what pose to make, etc. How did you enjoy film photography back then? What film camera formats did you use? Would you consider doing film photography on digital age? =)

I remember using actual film to make photographs. I mostly used 35mm film, but I used other formats as well. You are correct, when I had to use the film, I didn't make nearly as many photographs as I do now with the digital camera. I started using the digital camera as soon as I could afford one. I enjoy the convenience of the digital camera over that of my experiences with the film camera. Just the other day I found some 35mm film canisters that need to be developed. I wonder what is on them and I worry that I won't be able to find anyone to develop them.

Sounds like a lot of fun! (I have heard in the USA there will be no more 35mm film after 2013. I don't know if this is true, or if it just applies to certain applications.)

I must be old. Haha! My parents used to carry around a film camera back then. I got my 1st camera, a film camera, when I was 13. It was a gift from my mother. Someone borrowed it and never returned it top me. It got me really sad, because I treasured it so much. Then I got my 1st digital camera, a digital SLR two years ago and my 1st point and shoot digital camera just this year. I got my hands on film camera few months back. My cousin invited me to try the hobby. =)

You're still a teenager and I'm almost out of the calendar if few years time. Hahaha! Now that explains why you don't have memories of film cameras, either instamatic or the single lens reflex (SLR) camera. I envy SLR back then. I wanted to own one but we can't afford to buy one. It cost a fortune and I'm not from a rich family who can afford everything that I want. =) Speaking of music, I do appreciate music that's from my parents' generation. Hehe! =D

During my teen & college years, I loved to take pictures through the film camera. I really enjoyed those precious moments shared with my friends & family during outings & other occasions. But now, it has become so obsolete and was replaced by the famous digital camera. My aunt owns one & we would borrow it every time there are family affairs of my daughter in school. I also enjoy it but I guess it's a different level of enjoyment since it's not my own gadget. But my husband and I do have plans to buy our own digital camera, when our finances allow it. Regarding film photography, I'm not so interested with it even if doing it digitally is much faster now.

I understand because there are applications like Instagram and programs like Photoshop that can do the trick. Instagram has it's effects of making it appear like it was taken using film camera. And tehre are several programs like Photoshop that can do the same, without the need to spend more on film and film processing. Plus it's more convenient to access the image with digital camera, no need to wait for processing. Thanks for dropping by. =)
