See, I don't use headphones, but not because of this reason, but because they are just rather uncomfortable to have on. Plus having something directly blast right into your ears for hours and hours is something that cannot be healthy. The bacteria part is rather intriguing but somehow it is really not all that surprising. However, I think that we're doing our hearing a disservice.
So it really makes me feel a bit more at ease, that I avoid using headphones, other than the reasons that I really avoid using headphones. Granted some people unfortunately have no choice, due to the job that they have. But it cannot be something that is really conductive to their hearing. It is not the most comfortable thing.

I had heard about it.But don't think it will really affect us.We just have to clean our ears with antiseptic soap while we take a shower.
I mean if we get terrified by small stuff like this. Then we can't even go out into the streets.
What if someone looses control of their car?
What if some electric post falls on top of us?
Or stuff like that.

Just knew it here and it sounds really alarming.
Not sure if that is proven true but I think cleaning headphones or using clean headphones could avoid such bacteria build up.
I use to used headphones for several hours before since listening to music or news could help me feel awake on a grave yard shift at work.
