Bunny is a cat I adopted a few months back I had been fostering her for the local humane society but she was deemed unadoptable so I voted to keep her rather then euthanize her. Now I bit of background on bunny, bunny's is a dark chocolate brown cat she looks black from a distance and has the rounded little head with perfect little pointy ears a very cute cat. Bunny came from a outdoor colony of cats I took in her her sister and all of there kittens her sister and her kittens have since gone to the shelter to be adopted now all of bunny's kittens passed away as there organs were not formed properly when they where born I gave bunny a few orphaned kittens to raise which she tried her hardest at but unfortunately she ended up with mastitis and I had to take the kittens away and start bunny on alot of medications and daily hot compresses when this healed up she went on more medication for upper respiratory infection but we noticed when she was done the medication even though the discharge from her nose and eyeswas gone she seemed to still be having a hard time breathing through her nose after many other meds we finally discovered that because she has been sick her whole life the intended tion ate away at her nasel cavity and it was all collapsed so in other words nothing we can do for it it causes her no pain u can just hear her breathing likehavinga stuffed nose all the time she often just opens her mouth and breaths through it instead. Now she does get sick more then most cats and goes on meds for this but I love her to death she runs around and plays with the other cats and acts completely normal I had someone tell me the other day I should put her out of her misery........this shocked me as she is not in any pain and plays and carryall on like a normal cat why would someone say this or even think it her quality of live is still great

Nowadays there are not that many people who adopt cats/dogs, because many people don't have enough finance to look after a pet. But what you did is something really good and you deserve a praise. cheers

I had someone come in and hear Solo wheezing and said - "Is that kitty sick?"
I said, "No, he has asthma."
"You should put him to sleep," this person said.
"He's not in any pain, he just breathes loud - would you put a child to sleep because they have asthma?"
"That's different...."
"No its not. Solo is otherwise perfectly healthy - there's no reason to put him to sleep."
That shut them up...

My cat is part bunny. Well, she sheds like one.
That is sad for the bunny. No one likes losing their babies. Sounds like she really wanted to take care of those kittens.

She tried her hardest to raise them even after I stopped her from nursing I wrapped up her chest a few times a day so she could bath them and hang out together with out them trying to nurse and drink the infection

I agree that it would be wrong to have Bunny put down just because she has a few problems. I do hope, though, that you have had her fixed so that she won't give you any more imperfect little bunnies.

You certainly have a very generous heart. I applaud your efforts in taking care of Bunny. Who has the right to say whether an animal is adoptable or not. All animals need our love and protection, I hope that you and bunny will have many wonderful years together and you should never feel badly to take bunny in even though she came to you with such health problems. You are indeed bunny's angel. Take care of bunny and yourself too!

I get this a lot as well with my three cats Toppie, Stripes and Patches. Well Toppie hes nervous still but nearly as bad (he needs to take baby steps). But when he gets excited he will attack your hand and bite you. Its nibbles and never breaks the skin. My friend was over and hit him so I hit her. You never hit my cats, and she was taunting him with a toy (what do you expect). My other twop Patches & Stripes have always been sick. Whoever had them didnt care for thenm then abdonded them in my workplace bathroom. Ive spend I dont know how much on them at the vets. They do get sick more often seems to be every so many months but I keep an eye on them and they seem fine overall. They are prone for upper respiatory infections, and all that. I had so many including family say just kill them. I couldnt do that as overall they are fine just every few months they need a nip in the butt, supplements, and such. We joke and say we have the house of rejects because I swear there is something wrong with each animals in their own way. People come over and my Moms one cat has no eye, and has teeth problems they are so grossed out but he is the most loving cat every.
