Body pain after workout

After work, Í went to the gym to have a full body workout. I did cardio exercises, weightlifting, and use several muscle enhancing equipment. When I do exercises, it's been my practice to push myself to the limit. As long as I can, I'm not stopping. That made me get thirsty easily which made me drink often. The result is satisfying though several hours after working out, my body started to feel the pain. But it's part of it and I can bear the pain. How about you, how do you handle body pain caused by hard exercise or workout?

I get backache now since i sit in front of a computer for long time a day but i still sit in here to post my discussions. I still can bear it now, but i may turn my computer off soon. I really don't want to get strong backache later...

ryan, I sometime suffer from back pain too, but there are exercises to prevent them and if you take a break like every 3 hours, even for 5 minutes, to stretch, your back won't hurt.

Good for you! Keep your enthusiasm to exercise. It's something that I need to work on myself...
I really need to motivate myself to exercise. I have body pain just by doing some cleaning around the house. If it gets too much, I take some Panadol (pain reliever)

You can do it. Just take light exercise at first until your body get used to it, then you can make it harder as you go along. Just always imagine the body you desire and work for it. Thank you for dropping by. Have a motivational day!

I had same experience this week, my body is feeling the pain after some intense workout recently, the muscle ache is giving me some grief at night and i have to take some pain killer to feel better, i also apply some heat treatment on my sore muscle and body part to reduce the pain, so farthe treatment is showing some good result, i think i will have to slow down on my workout and take it easy next time, just don't over do it again in my next gym visit. I learn it the hard way this time, i become wiser now.

Oh yes, the more intense workout you do, the more body pains you will get. But I'm like you, I also like doing intense workout, if the gym instructor said 12 repetitions, I'm going beyond. Lol! I also tend to lift heavier weights than any body in my weight category. Well, we have to deal with the pain after. But I can take it. It just need some rest. Thanks for sharing. Have a nice day!

Good day Harold_ks,
With reference to your post, well, I just remember those days when I was still active attending to the gym. As my body pain really aches everyday. Since, I am doing the program thrice a week. Aside from that, I need to go for a five-day work. So I really feel exhausted every day. As there are times, I cannot imagine where do I get those strength that I am having. Since, I don't want to take any pain reliever at all.

Good day to you as well airasheila! Yes, it's really hard if you are working, coz the body pain might affects your work. But good thing that you have able to finished the program. Yes, as much as we can tolerate the pain, we should not take pain reliever coz it might have side effects. Me too, I don't take pain reliever, I'm just letting the pain be healed naturally. Thank you for your response. God bless!

Yes, but maybe our body still need some rest before we do it again. And if we will do it everyday, we have to lessen the workout activity or just have a light workout. That will make our body used to it. Thanks for responding.

Actually I was myself undergoing the cardio at my gym which I started after a period of three years. While pain in the muscles generally did not really bother me, I started getting acute pain in the lower back and that was very problematic. Later I visited a doctor and he told me that it was a treadmill injury and I needed to stop the gym for a period of three weeks and then when I re-started, he advised me not to go for the treadmill.
Cheers!

It's nice that you have your own gym. But I'm sorry to know about the injury that you have gotten. Yes, you really need to stop using the treadmill since it's the one that caused the injury. I myself also don't prefer the treadmill, I like to use the gym bike more. Well, thank you for sharing and may you get healthy always.

Actually pushing yourself can be dangerous and that saying, "no pain no gain" is not correct. If you are feeling pain, you need to at least take a small break and stretch out. Not only will this make your muscle more elasticized, but it will lessen the pain afterwards. Another tip is a cool shower when you are done, this will keep any inflammation down and can prevent muscle aches later on.

I do not like exercise, so when I have to do some hard work, I will have a sleep before that. Then send out to do that. In most case, I will have a headache after that work finished and I have to relax at least two or three days to recover. It is said that if I can have exercise everyday, the situation maybe much better than that.

Yes, we should really be in good condition before we do exercise or go to the gym. We should have a good night sleep and healthy meal, or we can even take energy drink. But we should also expect or be ready for a possible pain after. But yes, if we will do the exercise more often and regularly, our body will get used to it and the pain after the workout will be lessen. Thanks for responding. Have a nice day!

Well it is just nornal to have body pains after a workout. Most especially if its the first time you have done it or after quite a time without much physical activity. I do experience such but I know that when I have body pains, then my workout is effective. As the saying goes, " no pain, no gain. So just relax... It would also help if you take a warm shower after a workout. Warm water dilates blood vessel and improves circulation..

Yes, it's really normal, especially if you really push hard and almost burning yourself on it. Body pains will really be felt after. But it won't stay for long, after a few days, you will be ready to go again. I will consider your advise to take warm shower instead of cold one, thanks for it. Thanks for your response. Have a nice day!

Its normal when having work outs especially when its first time. After doing it few times then it will gradually gone and get used to it. Just don't force yourself to a heavy workouts just take it it easily. A light to heavy will be the best.A slow but regular one will burn more calories.
Stay fit by a regular exercise and healthy diet! Have a nice day!

Hi cloud! Yes, our body will get used to it if we will do it regularly. I am more on gaining weight and muscles that's why I like doing heavy workout. But even its heavy, I can handle it good. It just take a little rest and I will be fine and ready again. Thank you for your advises. Have a nicer day! God bless!
