Which would you choose? I often like playing first-person shooters, but for some reason, I can't come to think about killing a prisoner. I'd rather think that he/she should contemplate his acts, and spend the rest of his life away from society.

At one time i would have said eye for a eye, tooth for a tooth, life for a life. But that was before my daughter murdered someone. I believe she was mentally unstable before during and after the murder, and still is.

Sad. Some people turn up like that on this planet. Whether she liked it or not, she should've gone to a rehabilitation center instead of a cold hard prison...

i think that whatever a person does to go to jail is no excuse to killl them. If someone murder a family for example and go to jail it should be for life. Killing them will not only just set them free but in a way we are turning into them.

I agree, with you. But we can't lock them up for life either, remember, you are paying for them to be locked up. And frankly with the job market and living costs I am having a hard time keeping my family fed and comfortable so why am I kicking out extra in taxes to feed the deadbeat in prison too? Isn't my family more important than him, because we haven't broken any laws and because we are functional members of society that helps contribute?

On one hand, I think t hat the prisoner should be given time to depend of his/her crime. Then, I think of the cost to the state to keep that person locked up for 40 years or so. It seems to be a toss up. I'm in favor of bringing back chain gangs.
