One of my favourite food is chicken weather its fried, soup, roasted, its so delicious. If you take everyday fried chicken it will cause cholesterol, i know dear it's delicious, but you have to control the oily food. My suggestion is it will be fine if you just eat fried chicken once or twice week.
There is a lot of fatty food actually, for example you skip fried chicken and you eating other food that contain more oil, that is mean, your sacrifies about cutting cholesterol is just wasted.
So, try to mix the meal, add salad, soup, fruits, drink herbal tea instead Carbonate drink like Pepsi or Coke. Dear you can replace Fried chicken with chicken steam or roasted chicken. It's less cholesterol compare to fried.
Hope you like it dear, don't forget to add salad, fruits, soup and herbal tea for cleaning toxin in your body :))

Dear Bendygno, First of all warm welcome to Mylot! Now coming to your discussion. We require to have three basic ingredients in our daily ration or intake , which are Carbohydrates, Proteins and Fats. The Vitamins and other minerals completes our diet as the balanced one.
Carbohydrates are the source of energy. We derive required energy from this ingredient. This is being supplied to the body in the form of starchy foods, sugars , fruits etc. The bread , biscuits and fruit juices , sweets etc are source of carbohydrates.
Proteins are building materials they are helpful in maintainig the body muscles and other tissues which are proteinaceous in nature. They basically have nitrogen as the main content together with Carbon and hydrogen as basic units. Fruits, vegetables, meat , fish etc are source of Proteins.
The third ingredient is Fat, which is a stored in the body as a reserve source of energy. anything taken in excess is get converted into fat and this fat is to be used by the body at the time of crisis. But then if there is continuous accumulation of the fat in the body then this may get accumulated at various places and may hamper the normal physiological functions of the body. Oils, butter , nuts rich in oils are sources of fats. Fats are important to mobilize fat soluble vitamins in the body!
Now Basically chicken is a source of protein and when it is fried it is added with fat. It is OK so long w are eating this product in proper quantity or eating within limits along with carbohydrates. Excess of anything is bad and chicken is also no exception to it!
I also like to eat a lot of chicken and I am a big fan of KFC and eat a lot of chicken but then moderate quantity and take care that my diet is balanced with carbohydrates and other ingredients.
Excessive fried chicken consumption can lead to accumulation of uric acids in the blood and there can be conditions like 'Gout' which affects the joints. The excessive fats in the fried chicken can definitely increase the Cholesterol level in the body which can be detrimental in long run.
So in my opinion we should have moderate amount of fried chicken in our diet and we should see to it that the excess calories gaining from food stuffs should be burnt out t prevent the accumulation of the fats in the body.
Thus I feel you can have moderate amounts of chicken and live healthily so long you are undertaking some physical exercise o burn the excessive calories out and also taking care to balance your diet with required amount of carbohydrates and other ingredients like Vitamins and minerals! Thanks for the discussion ! I liked participating in it!

Ouch! According to what I've read, chicken is one of the least gout producing meats you can have, provided you avoid the offal (liver, heart, kidney). Turkey and red meats are more uricogenic, but the things to avoid are offal, seafood and brown fish (though my brother tells me tuna is OK).

The amount of fat fried chicken contains does depend on how it's fried. If it's fried in batter or breadcrumbs it will contain a lot more (in the coating) than if it's fried plain. But plain fried chicken is no nicer than roast chicken, so why do it? I like to roast my chicken pieces at 125°C (to avoid acrolein production), but it would take forever to roast a whole chicken that way, so you have to compromise.
Unsaturated oils, provided you don't fry it too hot (producing harmful compounds from the oils), are a lot better than saturated ones.
Wok techniques are something else. I think you get quite reasonable advice on the internet.

everything which we do on large extent has its side effect that is why we should do things in moderate way.
eating chicken daily is not bad but you should do some exercise to make your bowl movement easy and avoid oily food.
if you like chicken then you can have it in different forms and dishes like in pastas, fried chicken, chicken noodles etc but avoid having fried chicken daily because it contains lot of oil which is not good for our health.

Yes, I also do like fried chicken especially from KFC but restrict myself to once or twice a month. I think u should try to curb ur chicken intake. If u really can't leave chicken u should go for baked , grilled or boiled with lots of veggies.

I love to eat fried chicken too, it is very yummy. I think it is good when you don't eat it too much only.
1 time a week is nice, i think. If you eat too much, it will cause cholesterol in your body also.
You don't need to give up your favorite food, just eat it in moderation...

never eating fatty foods from now on is very difficult for you, so i think you can eat less day by day, maybe in the end you can control yourself not to eat any kinds of these foods. everyone has his favorite food, i like spicy food and seafood. in the past, i always want to have these food, and i was eager to have them everyday. but eating too much spicy food or seafood is not good for my health, so i forced myself to eat less these foods. i insist on for a long time, and i don't have strong desire to have them now.

I do not think it needs to be stopped but only enough wrote on set every day or you do not eat fried chicken with a complementary drink beverages such as prevention of cholesterol.
If you hesitate to eat at the restaurant, much better if you cook it yourself with a low-cholesterol cooking oil.
