The weather's starting to get into the 80's around here. It's only the end of May. I think it'll be a hot summer. Have you started using your a.c's yet? Have you ever been without one for one whole summer? Do you use fans?

We have not yet started using air conditioning in the house. We have used it in the automobile some, but not much. We moved to a new location and it's really not hot. Even when it gets to be in the 90's here, it doesn't seem hot. Up until a couple of months ago we lived in a very hot and humid location and had to use air conditioning all winter, but now, none. It is very pleasant.

I'm glad you haven't had to use your A/C yet, we really could have today but instead chose not to. Bills are so high with other stuff, we try to hold off as long as we can with it. Wow winter time A/C that is hot, for sure. I don't even think my Florida relatives use it in winter.

I would be surprised if they didn't. I lived in south Georgia, less than 1 mile from Florida. Sometimes we just had to use it. In fact, most of the time. We counted ourselves fortunate the few days it was cool.

Oh, and I do use a fan, but it's when I'm sleeping. I've always used one, since I was a child. I like the masking noise. Even when I've lived in very cold climates, I still use a fan. I'm hoping to get by this summer just using fans. We'll see.

Well, most of the time here in WA state, or at least the Seattle area a lot of people do not own Air Conditioners. The stores and such have them for the hotter days, but not most homes. We have had one or 2 80 degree days already, and a couple in the mid 70s, but for the most part still about average for this time of yr. We usually will use a Fan when it gets too warm but we are lucky and our house does stay fairly nice.

I'm glad you don't need to use it that often. A fan always comes in handy too. I like the idea of not owning one but we have to here or we will cook, so to speak in the hot summertime. I'd rather not choose to unless it gets to be too much.

Well the weather here is very hot and we are using Air conditioner in our home. Though we tend to us it wisely by using it for few hours a day to save electricity and keep the air conditioner at 25 Celsius.

That is very wisely, good for you. Often there are public places that are available with A/c features too so if you have them it is wise to go there as often as you can.

Unfortunately we don't have the aircon at home just some fans. This is a really hot summer with hardly any wind during the day. I am just too glad that it has started to rain in the late afternoon. We are living somewhere near Tagaytay but still the heat is oppressive. The nights are cool though and we get to have a good night sleep even without a fan on. With the fluctuating costs of electricity, I may never get to buy an aircon at all. When I am alone at the house, I often go without a fan and just open all the windows and doors for some fresh air. When the fan has been rotating for a period of time it is no longer effective since is gives off the warm air. I still love summer though even with all the heat.

We probably won't be using the A/C here yet either despite how hot it is getting, maybe in July. Then we only put them on around 11 or 12 in the morning and til 7 p.m. so it's not long. I put my fan on at night if it gets really unbearable. I have a small one that is in perfect condition and no one to take it, I wish I could give it to someone who really wants/needs it. I saw a really neat floor style A/C at a house I went to the other week for a garage sale, I wanted to take it home, they are the best. No window needed.
