I can't go out without anything on my face. I always make sure to put on lipstick at least. But without cheek blush, I don't feel confident. What do I do?

I love putting on makeup, just like picking out your clothes everyday you can do something different with your makeup everyday. I think with the right shade of blush and applied correctly, it gives a really refreshed and healthy glow- i love it.

I don't consider it an obsession to make yourself up to feel confident. I mean, sure, confidence SHOULD come from the inside, but a lot of us wear makeup. I think it enhances our features! There's nothing wrong with that. I will go out without makeup but I prefer to made up before going out...Just because, like you said, I also feel more confident when I am more put together!

me too..i am used to putting on make up, eyeshadow, lipstick, and blush when i go, i must put these make up because i don't feel comfortable without it..i think we should put make up on to light up our face and to make more attractive. even just a natural looking make up..

I love to 'paint my face'! It's so fun to put on makeup! I don't do it much, because we are in the middle of a heat spell, so I would probably sweat most of it off on the way to work, lol. But it makes me feel confident, attractive, and I like to put it on. I think that is something that we ladies have to watch out for, the love of putting it on. I think we can go a bit over board. I remember my mom telling me to enjoy my dark lipsticks when I was young, as she said, the older you get, the lighter you should go. In other words, the lighter your makeup should be. she warned me of becoming the older lady with the dark painted lips and penciled in eyebrows. To tell you the truth, The only time I pick up an enquirer magazine, is if I see an actress with an intriguing way of wearing her makeup, as the gossip bores me. In effect, my favorite way of wearing make up is '1940's style. I had a compliment from a coworker once, and he said, ' you know, you look like an actress from the 1940's,' That made me feel really nice, as when I am made up, that is the only style and way of application that I will use. I tried other eras, but they do not fit me. So I stick with the 1940's look. Usually Olivia Dehaviland, or Rita Hayworth.

If you are like me, I love make-up, and I also love to go without it. All you need is a little more confidence to go without it. I am a woman of color, and blush is something I do not use often, but I like what it does for the face. If you just let the beauty of your confidence show through, I am sure you will get a natural glow in your face that you can feel proud of.

I have never really felt the need to wear make up, because I just think that if people don't think that I look good the way I am, then there is no point in trying to impress them anyway because they're clearly not very good friends at all. However, recently I have started wearing just a little bit if I am going out somewhere, because it can make my skin look a lot brighter and I will always enjoy the night out if I think that I look good. But I would never think about wearing it for the benefit of anyone else, as I respect myself a lot more than that.

I can relate to you. Once you started going out with makeup and started on not going out without makeup, we get so used to it that we are now not able to go on without it because it feels like we get our self-confidence from it.

Make up does nothing for me at all. I don't like it and I don't put that junk on my face period. One after a while it's just wasting money that I could use on my kids.

Maybe you need to go on that show..."My Strange Addiction"... I wish I could help you but i can go out without all tht stuff and then I can my time when I am going out to some place special and do my make-up but a daily application is defintely not necessry for me...I look presentable either way...and you are probably presentable with it as well... Get a honest opinion from your real friend and just be prepared for the honest answer....

Same here, I never go out without makeup on my face. I always dress properly, too. I get my confidence and self esteem from being made up. I don't really find anything wrong if you choose to have makeup on as long as you make an effort to wash it off before you go to bed. If you are happy wearing the makeup, then do so. I am happier when I look into the mirror and find myself looking a lot better with some makeup on.
