any experience with road bully? i was driving back this evening, and there was a car behind me tailgating me so close that i was so tempted to step on the emergency brake! i've also met with some impatient drivers who like to honked and scold vulgar words! i have to say, meeting people like that could really spoil my whole entire day. anyone experienced road bully before?

Many years ago I was driving home to our house in the country when I came up on a car driving very slowly. I started to pass it when the driver, an older man, glared at me and started to speed up. I finally made it around him, but he stayed right on my tail. You can imagine my chagrin when I turned on the gravel road that went home, and he followed me. He continued to follow me clear into my own driveway. We were pretty isolated, and my husband was still at work. After sitting for awhile, I got out of the car. The man jumped out too. "After hours cop," he announced in a very intimidating manner. "What do you want?" I asked. "I just wanted to tell you that you were going too fast when you passed me. That's against the law." I said, "It's against the law to speed up while being passed, too." He took a couple of steps towards me, so I bluffed, "Do you want me to go inside and get my husband so that he can talk to you?" At that he hurried back to his car and drove away. I was so glad to finally get inside my house and lock the doors. What a jerk!

I live in Dallas and, contrary to what the State of Texas would like you to believe, it is full of the most obnoxious drivers in the world. One night, on my way home from work, a car came off an exit and ran up on the shoulder to pass several cars. This was at a place where the shoulder soon ran out because the lane was merging into another exit and this driver ran right over into me forcing me into the other lane to keep from being hit. It was rush hour and, naturally, the other lane was also full of cars, so I was kind of stuck between two lanes while this idiot was forcing her way into my lane. Of course, the drivers in the other lane didn't slow down to give me room to get away from the nut job even though what was happening was clear for them all to see. When the nut job finally got past me, the car behind me tried to go around me, which would have kept me cut off from either lane. It was the most unbelievable thing I've ever seen. Every driver on that road saw what this idiot was doing but the car behind me was only concerned that he wasn't inconvenienced. I'm kind of sorry that I didn't let the nut job hit me and cause an accident and a huge backup on the freeway. It would have served them all right.

You know, I think I'm going to just let someone hit me instead of forcing their way past me again, too. I'm getting real tired of that kind of stuff. I'm usually the one that gives so I don't get hit. But I think I'm getting fed up enough to just go ahead and let them hit me next time. LOL! We'll just see how much nerve I have the next time I'm in that situation.

Well i have encountered road rage a few times but the funniest was when i was just approching the juction not far from my house that takes you onto the main road it is quite a dark junction only vagly lit by a few street lights and it was at night so when i get to the juction i looked left "nothing" then right "nothing" left again "nothing" so proceded to pull out when out of the corner of my eye i seen a car hurtling tawards me from my right, horn blaring and the woman driver screaming abuse and flipping the bird at me as she passed now normally i would have left that alone and ingnored it expeshally if it was my fault but this was an exeption so i pulled out after her and caught up flashing my lights she pulled over and got out slamming the door looking like she was ready for a fist fight (looked quite a scary woman too if you ask me ) so i wound down my window and i could hear her shouting abuse saying things like i should look more carfully next time and stuff like that when i camly replied yeh dam right i should look more carfully as most people at night time drive with their lights on with that said the woman stopped in her tracks turned round jumped in her car turned her lights on and drove off. LOL i couldnt belive i kept my cool as normally in that situation i would have been raging mad mabey its because t was a woman i dont know but at least i did as i think she was more affronted by it than i was :)

This happened to me a few days ago and I let my anger get the better of me and gave a hand gesture as the guy drove past me. It almost ended up in a fight but I had my doors locked so it worked out OK. I wont get so angry next time!!

That Honking thing happend to me other day.It was red light and none of the cars ahead were moving and this driver was getting impatient and started honking so much.I got so mad that I switched of my car and sat down. The Kight turned green by the time I re started and our turn came to move and cross the crossing light again turned red and I turned back and gave him a very wide teethy smile. After that he didn't honk.I thought serves him right.

I hate people who tailgate.. It drives me insane!!! I made a sign and put on the back of my van that says "Get Off My Butt!!" It doesn't work though.. The worst is when a school bus is tailgating..or a police car...

I used to live in L.A. and people out there were crazy on the roads! I've heard horror stories of people getting shot over bumper-thumpers! I've had people tailgate me to the point it's made me nervous. I feel like putting a small sign in my back window "If you are close enough to read this, I can slam my breaks and sue you!!" LOL! :OP

I have.I was driving home and a big Land Rover was driving infront of me and I wanted to pass it.When I try to pass it it put on his spot light and I couldn't see any thing cause it blinded my eyes. For about 30km it didn't want me to pass but all the other passed.
I was a nervous wreck when I got home.

I have been a victim of road rage many times. The worst one was when a friend of mine was driving and she decides to cut of this car. We got honked at and thought that it would end there. I was wrong. She followed us to a stop light and threw a glass bottle at the car. It was crazy and gutsy. She was the only person in the car and we had four people in ours. The two guys in our car got out and started harrassing her. PPutting her windshield wipers up. Baning on her window. It was getting crazy. Then, green light! Time to go. We were now following her. Let me just say that we got home safely.
