why does it matter if you are late or not when you work for a company that is 24hrs? not saying that if i supposed to be there at 7 i come in at 1215 but im saying. there should at least be a cushion to where if i come in at say...704..i can just stay til 404 to make up my time..but no..your tardy MISTER! and u may get wrote up. But if im there at 7 on the dot, and i cant get done with my job until 715, i dont see any bells ringing saying thanks for staying late or make sure your time reflects that extra 15..but u make sure i put that 704 on my time sheet...really!

haha, that is really not cool for the company, right?! but for people to go and get that extra time is our supervisor's prerogative. :D Well i'd say not having a standard time to come to work, people won't be expected to be on time will they? so then how can people set an actual meeting time for all if everybody has got their own time preference coming to work... in our work though, they have a time for us like a buffer when we come to the office, there is this 15 minutes allotment and it won't be lessed from your salary. of course if you have to go on your and have an overtime... you sure will need to let your superior know about it and you will get an offset time allowed for it.

Time keeping is very important in your job, and you should always make sure that you're on time. If your boss says that you should be there for a certain time, then you should make sure that you do so, otherwise why should they pay you? It is up to you whether you want to stay later in the night to finish the work that you missed out on, but it is your fault that you did not start the working day at the same time as everyone else, and because of this I don't see why your boss should pay you for working later just because you couldn't get all of your work done that day.
