Smoking should really be regulated. It would somehow be a bearable thought if grown ups were recipients of 2nd hand smoke. But what if kids were the recipients? What about their future right? And have you heard of third hand smoke? It was shown on TV but I forgot the explanation. All I could remember is it's twice deadlier than the 2nd hand smoke.

I guess that smoking in public places have been prohibited in our country. But still there are some limitations of the law. I just don't know what is the coverage of the said law. What are the public places it was referring to. I think hospitals, schools, malls, and other are covered by this law but public markets are not really covered. You are right, there are lot of smokers that don't care when they smoke in public. They are not aware that 2nd hand smoke is more dangerous that what they are taking in. Some are very insane about how others felt when they inhale those smokes coming from them. I guess they must tried how it is suffocating to have those smoke. Put them in chamber and let the smoke come into them. Just to feel how they are doing to others.

Aw,I would be annoyed too. Here in metro city, smoking in public is indeed and offense. Although there are few who still breaks the law- but once caught, surely they will get fine or bribe (uhmnn)

They says that second hand smoke is also harmful. I agree that public smoking should be banned and prohibited so that people who dont smoke could not inhale second hand smoke. Smokers should also be more cautious enough where to smoke and could it affect those people who don't smoke.

Thank God no one in my family smokes as I hat esecond hand smoke. It should definitely be banned in public places as those smokers need to show respect for nonsmokers. Also, they should not put others at risk with their smoking habit, very disrespectful...

I am also amazed at the arrogance of people who smoke in public with no thought to those who do not want to breath their smoke. If you want to smoke, fine. Do so around other smokers but definately not around non smokers. I find it incredibly rude and inconsiderate. I have many friends who smoke, some are considerate of nonsmokers and others just don't care.

Though smoking is forbidden indoor by law, there are still many people do that. In our college, many teachers smoke in the teach building, which makes the environment not good enough for student and make student confused. It is hard for students to make teacher give up that habit. I do not like smoking, but I have to bear stay with a smokers in the same room while can not do anything to keep me away from the situation.

The people around me, most smokers. I more often get away from them, when they were smoking. I also would step aside, if I meet people who are smoking in public places.

I grew up in a smoking family, and never even realized just how much I hate secondhand smoke until I moved out. Somehow, even though EVERYONE in my family smoked I never picked up the habit. I hate it when I am out and walk through a cloud of the vile stuff. And where I work I can't go outside and get fresh air because there are smokers standing on every corner of the store. Once someone was smoking in their car, and threw the lit but out the window and it blew back INTO my car window landing in my lap and burning my leg.

Yes, I guess it's normal habit for most of us, especially those people with vices. They don't care about the feelings of other people as long as they enjoy what they are doing. Like smoking, some don't know that second hand smoke do more harm to non smokers or they don't want to know. Because of this a law had been passed that prohibits smoking in public places but some people are really hard headed. Or law enforcers don't enforce the law and sometimes they are the lawbreakers themselves.

it's really disappointing that some smokers are very insensitive..they don't care of the people around them, which usually doesn't like the smell of the smoke, as long as they satisfy their selves of smoking..they should have smoked inside their house, and not anywhere they want to..

I am a smoker and my city has banned smoking in restaurants, bars etc. Now, although I am a smoker I agree with it mostly. I would not want to take my daughter to a restaurant filled with smoke. On the other hand, I think it's ridiculous you can no longer smoke in a bar or casino. One day I was outside smoking by my car in a parking lot, waiting for a relative to finish up in the store, and the lady parked next to me literally had a FAKE coughing fit. I asked her if she had a problem, and she just hopped in her car. I am an adult, OUTSIDE, smoking. The smoke was no way near her. Some people are a little too "judgey" and dramatic about it, but smoking inside a store.. with children, is unacceptable.
