hahah! yes i feel that way. see we are having another "awards" thing in the office again, awards for the employees and the likes.. and it is a very formal one. Employees are asked to wear long gown again.. and now everyone seems like already booked for gowns or purchased one...
except me hahaha i am just not in the rush at all. I do not know know what to wear or what shoes to wear, most ladies here already have a planned outfit and here i am not worrying at thing!
Hubby said am i even a lady at all? i guess i am just really different ( i long since decided that i am different) so anyone else like me?
but i was browsing for gowns online right now and i saw this design that i would love to wear, i might just use my red gown but i will have it renovated to this style..

I hope the tailor could copy it.
usually the cloth is expensive that is why i opted to use my previous red gown.. it feels like recycling!

Seems like a graduation party again? or the Red Carpet at the Cannes?
Depending on what way you look at this party (it seems that right now it is playing Cannes on your mind as you are searching for gowns on the Internet) - why not try the angelina Jolie Gown
The Graduation Party gowns arent that spicy or interesting as almost all look so very similar
ps. Awards Nites should be the Cannes one at least for some

good day jazel_juan,
honestly speaking, i am not also used to wear long gowns. as far as i remember, the last time i wore a dress like that was when i was still in high school. that due to an occasion so it is a must for me to wear one. since, we are celebrating our junior-seniors prom, and i was one of the cotillion dancer. so it is really a must for me. since then, i did not repeat it anymore. so perhaps, i can also call mylself not a total lady, as i am not really used in wearing long gowns at all.

The black dress in the picture you provided was just elegant and nice dress! Why do you prefer red gown then? Would you like to make you more noticeable in the party?
I am not that girly type when it comes to dressing myself... You can't see me wearing dress unless it calls the need for it. I am more of a jeans and blouse as is. But maybe soon, I'll change my outfits to be more attracting or so if I want to attract boys!

I really do not have any other choice anna, i have a red dress which i wore last year to the same event, and since i do not have a budget to buy a new one, i want to renovate it and have it re designed to that style of the black dress.. that way i do not need to buy new cloth and i will only pay for the labor.

Oh,you are not alone jazel, haha! I don't know why all of a sudden I have no interest in wearing those lady gowns anymore, yay! I think the reason for this is because I feel I wont look sexy anymore wearing those gowns, haha! You see,I have this big tummy now,oh my! That is pretty obvious if ever I will wear a fitting gown. I already tried wearing some gowns before that doesn't emphasize the size of my tummy but I really don't like the way it looks on me,waaa!!!

Your hubby is very much right jazel. Just wear the gown that you are comfortable with even it is not that glamorous, for as long as you carry it comfortably,it will for sure look so good on you.

I like the style too
I am also not fond of attending parties, celebrations whether it is formal or in formal ones.
I just don't like partying, I better stay home and do my stuff than mingling and sometimes- just acting/playing good to everyone (hehehe- kaplastikan ba)
Even with our yearly clan reunion, I feel too lazy to attend.
I just don't like people buzzing around- too crowd- made me feel dizzy.
By the way, I really like the style, simple and elegant- go for it girl

i am not really into conforming, pretty much i am the different one. but since this is an office event, i really need to wear a gown as it is compulsory.

Well, oh well. Let the woman be the woman with a gown. That gown is good. I surely believe that you'll be looking great with that wonderful gown. Feeling is different from reality. You may feel you're not a woman, but the reality is you're a wonderful and beautiful woman. Your feeling doesn't define what you are but it's only just a moment of believing. I know that deep inside you is a very proud woman. If not, then who else can be proud of yourself? Enjoy your gown day.

There is huge pressure at these kind of events to stand out but also at the same time to blend in. People will always pass a critical eye over what you are wearing but really a lot of it is about their own insecurity. They are actually weighing up how everyone else compares to them to make sure they are wearing the right thing.
I think in your case the best thing to do is to be true to yourself. If you wear an outfit that is simply not you, you are not going to feel comfortable in it and that will show in how you carry yourself.
If you show that you are an individual and proud of it then that is something which will radiate out and make people realise you are a force to be reckoned with.

i do agree with what you just said PJ, i am not really someone who follow what fashion and what every else thinks, i pretty much follow what i love and with that gown i love that kind, simple and classic...

I feel like that at times. Sometimes I'm not in a rush to find a certain outfit or anything. It has nothing to do with not being a woman or feeling like one lol. Its just some woman are always in a rush to find the best thing to impress. I say to hell with it lol. I have a husband and kids, I'll wear what i want, wen i find it, at my own time and make sure its comfortable but presentable. Thats pretty much it. So basically, you are you and thats how you are, embrace it, dont question it.
Either way, goodluck with the dress :-)

hi jcolon,
yes in some ways we are alike, i tend to push it out of my mind as it is not important right now and will worry it when the time comes, with me having three kids that is really not my priority and wear what i can find when the time comes..
