I am in here, an office room with air-con. But there is a guy who got flu and he often sneezes. OMG, the room is not big at all but he does sneeze a lots. Honestly, I am afraid that...i may get flu later also.
When i get flu and often do sneeze, i will take one day off and take medicines. I really don't want anyone in my office gets flu because of mine also.
How about you? Do you stay at home or still go to office when you get flu???

When I got flu and I can't really stand from the bed, I will not go to office. But as long as I can stand and drive, I will go to office. Lying in bed when I am sick could make me feel worse. I am usually doing psychological treatment. Keeping in mind that you are sick will really makes you sick and hard to get well.
Just take necessary medicine and go home early. Take a rest and drink lots of water.

I know, when we get flu we can still work and lying in bed only is not good at all.
No, currently i am not sick, a guy in my office room got flu and does sneeze a lots. A room is small with air-con so that i am afraid that i may get flu later through his sneezing...

I see. I thought that you have already flu. I don't know how to get rid of it when your scenario is concerned. Just pray that you will never get flu because of your co-worker. Flu can be easily spread thru sneezing especially when you are in an airconditioned room.

Thank you for your sharing.
Ya, if we get normal flu, i mean we don't sneeze a lots then it is ok when we go to the office with a mark. But if we do sneeze a lots, better we should stay home.
Honestly i am not comfortable with his sneezing, especially we are in a small air-con room, I am scary that i may get flu from him also because it is easy to spread flu when sneezing.

There is a different culture here. Usually we don't think having the flu is a big deal. That means to say it is better for you to go to work even if you have a flu. Otherwise the boss will not be happy to it. If you go to work even if you are having the flu, you may be even praised because you overcome the sickness and keep on working. The boss appreciate to the hard-working employees.
I love China

I try my best not to go anywhere but to the doctor when i have the flue. if iam sick then passing it on to others doesn't really do anyone any good. it is better to get the help we need to get over the flue before venturing out into the public.

I don't get out of my house whenever I'm sick
o I'm just feeling bad. I won't be able to concentrate
on my work if I keep sneezing or if I am really feeling down.

I avoid going in any public place and don't go to work either if I get flu and I expect same thing from others and my co-workers too. I wouldn't want them to get the flu from me so I would not go to work...

Well, it depends. If I was really ill, I would stay at home as I wouldn't be able to do anything at work. Particularly, my head wouldn't function ideally. However, I got a bad cold last week. Luckily the first worst two days were my day off, so I managed to rest, recover and got better to go back to work without taking the sick leave.

when I get flu, I really have to stay at home unless so necessary to report for work but maybe just for a day just to finish something important. For sure we need to take medicines and rest when we got flu so we have to stay at home. Also in order for our office mates not to get sick too.

Flu is very easy to transfer from one person to another, so its always advice tat one should stay at home and have rest, we should also be sensitive to others that they might be infected too. Having a day off wont affect the company, they will even thank you.

People with colds or Flu should stay at home! Flu at its worst can KILL!
I caught the worst case of Flu that I have ever had, and then passed it on to my elderly, already sick Mum, when a colleague brought it to work at our DIY store! It nearly finished us both off!
STAY AT HOME IF YOU HAVE A COLD OR THE FLU!

Sad to say, but yeah I still go to office when I have flu. FOr me it takes time for flu to go regardless if I take a day rest or not. But if I really feel sick I would not try to force myself to get up the bed. But if I can I would still go to avoid delays at work.

I used to have bed rest if I have the flu. Lots of water, chicken noodle soup and rest is my remedy. But now, if I have even the slight flu-like symptoms, I often consult a doctor or my wife- she is a nurse. For any thing that exhibits those flu-like symptoms can mean something is wrong or just the common flu. They know better in managing this kinds of complaints. I also make it sure that I have those flu vaccines yearly.

I stay home for 24 hours when I have flu, rest, drink lots of water and medication. For me, it is better to stay at home than to transmitted it to others since I am working the hospital. Also nowadays flu's are very common and has different strain better to get flu shots and vitamin C for protection.

for me it depends on the workday. This is because, well when i am needed at work, i will have to show up and still show that i am willing to give for the team... but then of course if i need more time to rest and if there is nothing i need to finish or no meeting or prior commitments, i would sacrifice one day to rest and be better than go to work one day and have the flu grow stronger...

Ya, i understand. When your team work really needs you, you will still work even though you got flu. Sometime i do like that also but in deep in my heart, i really scare that my colleagues may get sick from me too. So that If i get flu, i will stay at home for 1 day.

i love to take rest when i get flu, i dont like everyone looking at me while sneezing and all, and giving free suggestions , with the worry that they may also get it, instead i like to stay at home and take rest

I won't force myself when I'm feeling sick. I will go ahead and rest a lot for tomorrow so I can already get into my office.

It depends on a lot of stuff including : What kinda flu it is ? , How contagious it is and in what ways ?, how serious it is and in what ways it might be limiting me. It also depends on what kinda job it might have . like if its some physically intensive job I might not be able to do it well because of the weakness caused by the flu . Also if I have to interact with a lot of people at work then its best to stay home the flu won't will just make you look bad and you might risk infecting other people you might interact with you .

I understand that having flu and still insisting on going to work is a risk to the people surrounding him. Flu spreads quite easily and its no joke to catch one. Most people will want the person who caught a flu to stay at home for fear of their own safety and think that those who did the opposite are selfish people. Despite all these i will still go to work with flu, although i will take precautions ( like wearing a mask and getting less contact with people). Maybe this is because i am a person who hate missing out on things that i am supposed to do :P
