Sister Wives and Polygamy. What's your opinion?

Lately I've been watching Sister Wives, the reality show on TLC. It's a show that follows around Kody Brown and his four wives, Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn. They live in Las Vegas now (in the first season they lived in Utah) with their 17 children.(Meri has 1, Janelle has 6, Christine has 6 and Robyn has 3 from a previous marriage and 1 with Kody) Anyway I seen the commercials for this show and thought "Ugh disgusting" then one night I was bored and tuned in and was surprised. I couldn't stop watching! I don't really like Kody and I definitely don't think polygamy is fair, but I came to really like the wives. They honestly surprise me with how they don't seem at all like they'd be in the place they are. I dunno about you but when I think about polygamy I think quiet meek wife who gets run all over by her husband. But with them it's just different. So what does everyone think or feel about these sister wives and polygamy!

I agree. I don't really understand their religion at all. I've tried reading about it just to have an open mind but it just doesn't make sense to me.

I know tha all religions have many different beliefs. Every faith and religion has the right to voice their opinions and ecpress their faith. I am a firm believer in one husband and one wife. How can you be faithful to numerous wives? It does not seem fair to anyone involved. I don't think that I could be satisfied in being a sister wife. I totally agree. It would be hard to lay there at night knowing your husband is in bed with another woman. And on one episode Meri was trying to explain that she was jealous and tried to get him to understand by telling him to think of her with another man and he went on and on about how disgusting that was and how it went against God. Ridiculous.

I haven't watched this series but I've read about it somewhere and I was kind of upset about it. I don't know but for me its not a good idea to share only one man. I mean there should be jealousy rising from each of them. And personally I don't think I want to be scheduled in a week or a time in the day for me to cuddle my husband and see him sweet with other women. I won't watch it though its enough for me that I've read their story in the paper.

I honestly think that the most important thing is treating others with respect and caring for each other. Therefore whether a man has 1 wife or 10, If he treats them all fairly and they are all happy then I believe that it is right and good for everyone. If a man has one wife and treats her badly then I believe that is bad for the woman.
