What's wrong with me????

Normally i take 8-9 hours for sleeping. I slept 10 hours last night and just finish drinking a cap of strong coffee too but i am very sleepy now... I really don't know why I can't open my big eyes and i just wanna sleep immediately.
Unfortunately, i am in the working place now, I can't do sleep in here...
I am wondering what's wrong with my body?

I think your body needs rest or let me say your big eyes need to sleep more. Our body has its own clocks and laws so it's wise to follow them if you want a healthy living. Maybe you became so tired few days back and only now your body is asking for a more sleep from you. Try to make an early out if possible otherwise your work performance will suffer. Or if you can't do it, drink another coffee and do the sleeping when you get home.

Thank you for your advices. I did sleep 10 hours last night you know...but still sleepy...I also had not hard work or lack of sleeping at all...Grr..
I won't drink coffee more, drink coffee too much is not good for women. I may go to sleep early tonight...

did you take some medicine or vitamins? well if not I really don't know what is happening with your body. As I have said just follow what your body needs and hope you get your sleep soon so your body will be back to normal again.

Maybe your place of work is either too hot or too cold for you OR you are so stressed out your body wants to take a little bit of rest. So far, if I feel sleepy, I find that it is best to listen to what my body is telling me else I go sick.

When I was under a lot of stress just a semester ago and the next day I have no classes, I usually sleep the whole day away. It's because my body needs a lot of rest after a mental and emotional stress I've just been undergone. I won't be surprised if that's your case too because the same is happening with my brother and sister. Whenever we are tired/stressed/over-worked, we tend to sleep longer and deeper that's why sometimes, over the course of our vacation, we were asleep for the whole day but awake for the entire night.

Ya, you are right, i should do listen my body...but it is the second day and i am very sleepy again even though i took 9 hours for sleeping last night...
I think something wrong to my body...why i am too sleepy like that...i can't open my eyes bigger also...

I think it does not really matter how many ours you sleep, what matters is you iwake up at the right REM cycle.. The best time to wake up is just when you fished with the 4th stage, since you completed the stage and your body is refreshed, but if you are waken up at the third stage(it's a deep sleep) and you'll feel groggy and disoriented. i understand that feeling...I used to do like that many times. I woke up but i still close my eyes and try to sleep more. I could get out of a bed after 30 minutes of extra sleeping only.
I hope you are not sleepy today. When you are sleepy, what should you do? Take a cup of coffee or what?

I heard from someone that if you sleep more than 8 hours, you might be probe to heart problems.

Don't worry about your body,you are OK.Maybe you just sleep so much that make your brain is not so active.It is a sleepy season when the weather is comfortable.
I can understand your feeling at this moment,it is a terrible thing,But come on ,you can overcome the sleepness.

Too much sleep would definitely affect your health condition in an awful manner. Sleeping which is essential for the maintenance of good health is to maintained in the right levels.Most often the adults just need 5 to 6 hours of sound sleep only. It relaxes your body and the mind. However the excess sleep could make you lethargic and lazy and turn bright ones to good for nothing individuals.

there is nothing wrong with you. you are just allowing your body to take over your life. our body is neutral; it can be our friend or enemy. but it has its own whims and desires. it always wants to slack, to rest, and to be comfortable. so we have to discipline our body otherwise we will find ourselves slaves of our own bodies. walk, stretch, and little movement will awaken you.

I called it hibernation. usually do it at the end of my working week and when my body tries to catch sleep it's catching more zzz's for 12-14 hours. Believe me it happens to me. AND my mom even scolded me for practicing this kind of sleep since she thought it is deadly and maybe I won't wake up further.

I've found that when I sleep longer than I normally do I usually end up feeling a lot more tired and groggy throughout the day. Usually just sticking to your regular sleeping pattern is the best. Sometimes your body just feels sluggish though because I've had days where I've slept the same and sometimes wake up more tired. I don't drink any coffee or caffeine though so I don't really have a problem waking up.

with reference to your query, there are times that the more we sleep longer, the more we become sleepy. i once read what is the reason behind but, i almost forgot it. as in your situation, it is quite hard to take a nap just to get rid of that sleepy thing, since you are at your workplace.

Ya, i can't take a nap now also because it is working place...or i may lie under a table to take a nap..and no body can see it...

I don't know what you did before you slept but I tihnk your body is recovering from a heavy task to make you fall asleep that much. I remember we went to a mountain trip and I slept for almost 2 days because of the activities that we did. I also didn't realize nor believed that I could do that but I did. I also tried caffeine but it didn't work. I guess that your body is trying to do what is right in its own way, even overriding your commands.
It's quite fascinating that there are items when our body ca do these things without our permission. But I guess, our rational explanation is always secondary on what the body feels is right to do. Even though they are times that I will myself to sleep or try to make me awake, my body always do what it wants anyway.

Thank you for your sharing. Wow...You did sleep almost 2 days..it is long long time...I haven't had a long sleep like that. My longest sleep is 12 hours only.
You are right, sometime our body just do this thing without our permission.... Right now i don't want to sleep at all but I am still sleepy, i guess i have to go to sleep early tonight...

Hey, I have similar condition with you. I've slept so long at night, but still very sleepy all day long. My eyes feels very heavy. But, when the night comes and it's time to sleep, I'm not sleepy and I just can't sleep. I also wonder what's wrong with me.

when i read your comment, i had to admit that i was jealous. because i always have difficult to fall asleep, even when i was very tired. i don't know why. and this promble has puzzled me for a long time.

Oh, i understand the feeling when it is hard for you to sleep. Better you don't think any more whenever you wanna to sleep. You can drink warm milk before going to bed. Or you can soak your foot in warm water for a while before you go to sleep. I think you can get sleep easily after that...
