i would say make sure you have travel insurance. and always look out for landmarks to find your way back to your hotel.. a lot of places can look quite similar!

oh, and try not to walk down any small streets with not a lot of people around on your own.. almost all of everyone i've ever known to go travelling round europe has been mugged at some stage! make sure you stay to nice well populated areas :)

Yup!
I like to eat in small local restaurants as they are cheap plus give the real food essence of the area.
Thanks! This is a worthy advise.

Unsurpassed beauty may be found in English woodland and the Highlands of Scotland but accommodation, etc. is very expensive, especially in North West Europe. You could try the couch-surfing website. I presume you speak English which is widely understood in Europe.
all the best urban

I live in the United Kingdom and at the moment the weather is very hot. Sun cream , sunglasses and a sun hat may be necessary. I would suggest you wear a money belt under your clothing that is hidden away so people don't see it. I would say look at maps of your European destinations and know where you are going to stay. It is worth finding out about the sights in your destinations and find out if there are any free or low cost walking tours. If you go on a night train check you are in the right carriage or if a change is necessary you get off at the right station. That situation happened to me traveling from Krakow to Prague. Otherwise I would have been surprised arriving in Vienna. Good luck with your trip to Europe.

Thanks for your valuable advise....
I'll surely take the sunglasses and sun cream with me. And money belt is also a must have item I guess.

Europe is a quite big place. Do you know which countries you are going to visit? How far south/north/east/west do you want to go? And what kind of things do you want to see? There's something for everyone in Europe (except those who only wants to see tropical rain forests :-) ), but not always in the same place.
