Gone too soon

My son had a blossoming friendship with Sandy, the girl that liked him. Too bad that the friendship ended too soon because he was hospitalized and won't be able to swim for 6 months as per doctor's advised.
It was funny how things turned up between them. It was only Sandy who had a crush on him first but after a couple of days my son realized that he liked Sandy too. But the blossoming romance were cut short because he had a surgery. Thank God he's doing fine now but he definitely misses Sandy. We went to visit the pool once but we were unlucky that Sandy didn't attend swimming class that day. 
I'm sure my son will have other opportunities to meet her.

This was a very long time ago when he was 9 years old I think. He's 13 now.

I am happy to hear that your son is doing good. If he misses her that much, maybe he could call her up on the phone and invite her over for dinner or something. Why should their little romance disappear just like that.

We don't know Sandy's whereabouts. We don't have any idea where she lives and her phone number. It would have been easier to get those information from her parents if they had been with her during the swimming class but she was always with a nanny. She's Chinese and we don't want her parents to think that we have bad motives against them.
We will visit the swimming class once in awhile because the instructor is a family friend of ours anyway. And right now, I think he has forgotten Sandy already. Kids!

That's a very cute story toniganzon. =) Maybe you could tell their swimming coach/teacher to tell Sandy what happened to your son. I'm sure she will visit your son and it might somehow help in his recovery from the surgery. =) I hope all is well with your son. =)

Sandy is just 7 and yes she was told what happened to him. She doesn't know where we live so she couldn't visit. And besides we don't know her family.

Too bad. I hope they'll meet again. Just a thought, what if they meet again when they're already in high school or college? Thinking of a fairy tale love story here. Hehe! =D

sorry to heard about your son's accident but I am glad that he is doing alright...but its the girl's bad luck who didn't get the boy like him.....just tell your son to move one cause he will surely get the girl like her....just say chill the world is full of girls......and if she really likes him she will surely come back to him.......JUST TRY TO CHEER HIM UP.....

Well, my dear friend Toniganzon, inherently that you told about your son, sounds like a romantic story. And I would love that as such it would end a "happy ending". I'm sorry for the fact that when your son can not meet Sandy for the moment, but I'm sure that soon will again embrace. Unto the facts are the class "crush" that take the kids.

That is the cutest thing ever! There is nothing sweeter than a first crush!
My partners nephew, and I suppose my nephew too since he calls me Auntie, has a crush on a girl in school called Charlie.. and they have been going "steady" for the last year haha! Of course they only sit beside each other and hold hands in the playground because they are only 8 .. but still very cute!
I hope your little boy gets to meet up with his little crush soon! Maybe you should invite her round for a little play date?

We just plan to visit the pool again during the swimming class so we could see Sandy again. My son's crush is actually Joey from school but he learned to like Sandy a few days before had surgery. School's gonna start soon for him and he won't be able to meet Sandy anymore but there's still Joey.

From your sons point of view at his age, this might not be a good move to have happened. But I know and you too know, that it has happened for the better of your son. I mean how good it would have been if Sandy continued in his life despite all odds... But as she doesnt seem to withstand mere surgery or hospitalization, I would say that it is for the good that she left him now... things would have gone more awry in case such a relation continued due to any reasons and broken later... The pain would have been too much then...
Give your son a warm hug and tell him that things happen for the better and good of all.

Hahaha it's funny how kids as young as they are could have liked each other. But I'm pretty sure it was no romance. I justo like to out it that way. They liked each other but they hardly know what real love is or even broken hearts. So I dont think it would lead to heartache.

They are kid and just be touchy for a while. I think they will continue being in friendship.

Do not get disturbed. Everything will be alright soon. Have a faith on God.First of all let him be alright and be recover from the surgery and get well soon. And then the opportunities will come and they will be good friends again and always.
