Frustrated!!! I am on disability and am trying to find a part time job to help make ends meet. (Disability doesn't cover it all) and I am not getting one single hit. I carry portable oxygen so I am assuming that may be the problem. I tell the prospective employer that I am not trying to make millions just a few extra dollars a week. I'm trying to find something like answer phones for pizza place, etc but still no luck. Don't know what to do at this point...bills are piling up and I can't do anything about it!

It's hard for anyone to find a job in this economy. Since you have an internet connection, though, why not try to find something online? You can at least make a few dollars a month with places like Swagbucks or Zoombucks. That and post a lot here at myLot. Anything will help while you keep looking for something offline if that's what you want.

I feel you on this one as I am on SSI. I've been trying to find a job since last year after moving to california and no luck. I've stuck with doing online stuff for extra money but doing that hasn't been too bad for me. Slowed down a bit this past month tho because i have spent less time on the computer as im planning on moving again soon back to arizona. After that i plan on picking right up again on it all.

I can see what you feel right now. You need to try all the possible jobs right now. Spend more time searching for online jobs such as being a virtual assistant, typist or transcriptionist. If you are good in writing, try to send some of your article to some sites like gather.com, postloop.com, and so much more. I,for one, is trying to find some more online jobs just to cover my family's expenses. Good luck and search for more legit online jobs.

Go for a job that is easy and don't need much pysical activity like pet sitter, baby sitter or you can work online, it is convenient and no need to carry oxygen all the time.

Perhaps you can try a job that allows you to be a customer representative while working from home. Check into companies like liveops and there are others. You would need to have a phone line and good internet access. But I hear that companies like that are good and they pay reasonably well. I hope that you will find something soon.

Is the osygen the only "problem" you have?
First go look for a job you are sure you can do! Don't say at the first start (in your respond by mail or phone) you have a disability (be enthousiastic). Sell yourself! It's soon enough if they do discover you have one (if you show up) and explain clearly what the "risk" is of hiring you, if there is any at all.
Perhaps there are ways which make it more interesting to hire you because of your disability? Try to find out if they do exist in your country.

I am working with the state with an agency called "vocational rehabilitation". Unfortunately, I'm trying to figure out what they are suppose to do. I was under the impression that they will help me find a job that would accept the disability. That's what they claim. Instead, they tell ME to find the job. And they receive state and federal funds for this. If that was the case, I don't need them. I can do THAT all by myself. As for selling myself, I'm upfront about the oxygen. I will not mislead them about it and when they hire me then show up with an oxygen tank.

Hey there
Amazon affiliate it`s a good ideea but it`s hard you need to know SEO techniques and have patience for your products to get promoted , write unique content and so on , if you need money quick to be an affiliate it`s not an option , yeah the ideea to answer at the phone for a pizza , cab , any other delivery or shipping services it`s fine , try to search those kind of services near your , and why not over your state , it`s only on the phone , or a call center company would be fine , working using your headphones , keep your faith you will find something :)
