spectacles or contact lenses or LASIK eye surgery ?

As for spectacles: They are very convenient when it comes to putting them on and taking them off in comparison to contact lenses but in some cases they may make the user look dorky and the nose pads leave marks on the ridge of the nose . In some cases its hard to keep the lenses of the specs spotless, for instance if you're in places with sprinkling fluids or in places with very high humidity it might get a little foggy. lenses: They don't change the user's look at all , in fact from what I've noticed is that they add this distinct shimmer to the eyes. I haven't ever used them , but from what I've heard they can be much more cumbersome to use and usually a more expensive in comparison to specs. Also some times people that they actually have them on and accidentally take a shower and end-up loosing them . NONE OF THAT IS BASED ON PERSONAL EXPERIENCE! LASIK : Well I don't know how much it costs but I'm pretty sure its more expensive than the above two options and definitely would take a lot more time to get it done, I know a few people who have had it done and they all say its temporary. So the best thing about it that I was going to consider is it being permanent , has been ruled out. Still even if what ever has to be done doesn't have to be done just once in a life time , it definitely mean you don't have to worry about eyesight disorder a considerably long time after the surgery . So which ones of the above options would you prefer? what are you currently using ? Is there anything you'd like to add about the above ? Is there any other myopia/hypermetropia/presbyopia remedies you'd like to talk about? ALL opinions welcomed!

My mother have undergone the lasik surgery for the last 9 years already and she is very comfortable with her eyesight. Her surgery was about 100,000 pesos before yet I do not know for now.It is up to you what you wanted with your budget when making your eyesight good again.

So definitely more expensive in comparison to using specs or lenses. Anyways how long did it take? do you have any sort of visual impairment ? if yes would you ever consider getting a surgery yourself? isn't pesos an Argentinian Currency ? Are you Argentinian?

I am from the Philippines, and that was the cost of the surgery here 9 years ago by the lasik operation. The case of my mother's eyes is quite very successful,as the ophthalmologist say it is good through out her life,so it is permanent and the cataract of her eyes will never be back again. If you like to have that operation, then ask your doctor there in your country,as you may have such kind of operation done.If you find it very economical to pay it,then do it for the safety of your eyesight. It is more economical to have an operation like the lasik because you have no more problems involving your eyesight in the near future ever again. When you are using specs or lenses, how many of it are change when your sight is having another problems due to change grades in your vision. It could reach to that amount if you manage to count all your expenses plus your doctor's fee.Be more practical.....

Yeah that does sound like a more practical solution and I just turned 18 so its the right time age wise , I mean people under that age are not allowed if I am not wrong. I was never speaking against LASIK I was just point out the obvious expenses . My granddad bought a pair of specs that he used for about 50 years of his life so trust me specs are a lot cheaper even in the long run . By the way I had already added ophthalmology to the tags you just added again with incorrect spelling as you can see there are two tags pretty much the same.
