a black cat crossed on my path

Hello Harold! :) I don't know if this is real or not. But one things for sure, don't put too much of thinking of those black cats... I am not fan of cats as well. I guess it's just those sayings but haven't heard whether it's true or not. Better be careful specially when driving. SOmetimes it can be a way of warning you to be careful and look from right to left to avoid accidents or something...isn't it?

When I was young, my folks always warned us that if a black cat will pass across our path, any pending activity and even an important event should be cancelled. There are some old stories in our town that pertains to this belief and a tragic event actually happened just after the occurence. But everything remains a mystery to me. Now, that such belief still lingers in my brain, that any time a black cat crosses my path, I would be more vigilant, it serves as a warning to me. I think, there is nothing wrong in taking extra precaution nowadays.

I don't think there is anything to it. I used to have a black cat and he crossed my path all of the time. Of course I have always had bad luck, but that was the case even before I had him!

Italy is considered the most superstitious country in Europe, and indeed we have a lot of strange believes, really really stranger than the black cat crossing your path. Never walk under a stair, never put in order your bed when you are 3 people (the youngest will die soon), never put your hat on the bed, never give pearls as a gift (every pearl is a tear), never open an umbrella indoor (well I usually don't believe any of this sh*t but I admit: when I have to check if an umbrella is whole I do it on the floor outdoor lol), never never NEVER break a mirror: 7 years of misfortune! Never give an empty wallet as a gift, you have always to put a coin in it. (I love to share my italian being with you :P ). To return "IT" I love too much cats of any colour to pay attention to these believes but I think this one was born in the Middle Ages when black cats were considered beasts of Satan and (what a horror) burnt alive.

Hello Harold, I don't believe in that superstitious belief,some do believe that but not me I've experienced that a lot of times but so far and through God guidance no bad luck happened. Luck comes in anyway and in any form so it would not only cat would make that, its the way it is. Confess the good luck and resist the bad luck. The best way we can do about this is to take precautions! Have a nice day!

Well there are several times that a black cat crosses my path. Afterall, It won't bring that much bad luck. Well I believe only to the Karma Theory. Whenever you do bad, it really comes back to you twice. Cats are cats, just like that, they are just plain adorable creatures that shouldn't be considered as bad luck.

We always see black cat on the street crossing but thanks God nothing bad ever happened to us. Like what you have said, it is a superstitious belief and it is up to you to believe or not. Just always take care and be positive instead of thinking the negative effect it will give you. Minds are powerful, sometimes when you think of something, it will happen so be careful.

it doesn't mean anything i think. In here people think if meet a guy then it is good but if meet a woman, it will be bad. Honestly i don't care about it at all...bad or good depends on many things, not because of what we meet when we start to go out

something like that happened to me 2 yrs ago. i was driving and when i was almost home a black cat crossed the street and i drove past it. it was an ugly cat. i think it was in some kind of cat fight because it had all kinds of scars on its body. some fur was missing and it was bleeding..poor ugly cat....but i didnt experience bad luck

i just dont believe in superstition... i would bother me if it crosses me from right to left or left to right...as long as its not sitting in my lap we are good to go....you comes up with these superstitions anyway...i havent seen any of them pan out to be true..

I don't believe in that. We're living in a modern age, better be believing in things that has a scientific explanation. It's just coincidence Harold, nothing else. :)
