The politicians are the actors, and we the people are the audience.

After how many months, the CJ Corona trial has finally come to a close. Now what? What happens now? After watching the trial on television, sometimes do you feel like everything the politicians say and do are all from a script? The presidents, senates, mayors, and etc could all be just actors and we are the ones being fooled.

By the way, I love your title. My tow cnets. Carpio is now the acting Chief justice until Aquino picks a new one, whether someone allied to him, his predecessor or from outside the Court. The ombudsman, the acting Chief Justice's cousin, might launch an investigation if Corona's assets are ill-gotten. If it is proven, he will have a case against the Ombudsman, (just like Erap). The people and the media will eat the issues and continue to speculate. Some figures from the trial might grace again the television screen and gain some airtime. Some senators might win or lose due to their vote on the trial. While others have simply no care. Whatever it is, their vote will cause an effect on their lives one way or another. The Justice committee of the House of Representative might impeach another Justice for plagiarism. I don't know if this will push through. An army of commenter will take sides or o sides at all. We might have another impeachment drama (good luck to us). Hope these scenarios answered your questions.

Yeah I guess there are more shows that will come in the near future. So we have to expect this in a democratic country. I guess everyone needs to check and balance each other on this one. I think with the coming elections I do not think that House of representative will have time to attend to another gruelling impeachment proceedings. They are far too busy to attend to this since they need to make efforts connecting to their constituents again.

Well those are scripted in the sense they are reading it from their own speeches. I do not think we are being fooled in here since I guess if they wanted it for the show only then we could recognized that from what they speak on their speech. You can easily decipher who are sour graping and have not move on from the pains they have dealt in their lives. You can easily decipher from their speech which is telling the truth and those that are just riding along the waves. So for now me being fooled I cannot accept because I myself can decipher who is who from amonst themselves is hiding something.

Well I guess that is what democracy is all about. It may be sad but I think that for as long as you remain grounded yourself and put the things at the right perspective and not lose hope that someday this country would be placed in her rightful place then I guess that would be enough for now. I think we cannot heal the whole nation in just one seating. It has to go to some painful changes that we all have to endure. Quitting is not the solution but striving to correct what was done wrongly and accepting changes as well will slowly heal a nation.

Quite right. One can easily decipher who are actors and actresses--bad is their acting--and also those who are speaking from their whole being to those who are very well-read, educated and has a standard in judging a person's mistakes. I would have to say most of them are either just "riding the waves" or in a conspiracy. Sadly, why do people put ignorants in a position that should be run by the wise? Could it be because the people are ignorants too? Seriously, I don't care anymore because soon, I'm gonna go ahead and take my family out of this country as soon as I am able to.

After CJ's impeachment, one man/woman will replace his position and I'm sure that it's going to somebody who has strong ties with the President. AHEM! I have been observing to how Noynoy just automatically terminates and appoints officials. All of the terminated ones were his opponents and those who were appointed were his "friends." We should have voted "Aquino's team" right from the start of that's the case. I love the idea that he's into eradicating corruption, but it should have been better if he'll concentrate in solving other important problems than just blaming the previous government. I once voted for him and I regret it. P.S. I'm not a Corona fan. :) I just don't like how the justice have been served recently.

Well, the government has tasted money and power. What do you expect they'll do? Of course they'll try to get more. That's how things became when people stopped caring for what's really important anymore. Whether Corona is guilty or not, it is very clear that we are still far from the positive change since not only should the government change, it's people and the Filipino citizens should too--and this is very difficult considering our unhealthy traditions and bad habits.

Yeah we could have been fooled, but we elected them didn't we?, now let's go blame all the unintelligent voters that placed them into office, that for me my friend is one of the down side of democracy or a democratic process, don't worry we also have the power of the vote to remove them so all of us vote wisely nest time, unlike in other countries hehe at least we have a little advantage if you may call it that.

Hello Louievill, that's the good thing in my situation because I never voted for any body during the 2010 except for the President and Vice President. that's why this 2013, i am not going to vote for every body, most specially those three idiots. there all the same just for the people to vote for them and keep their damn jobs.

I agree...the government is corrupt! Has always been. I hope though that our government will improve, but as for now I don't see that happening.

The problem is if you and I will run for a public office around 99 percent we will not win because we don't have money! too sad
