But now my friends complain they don't see me as often and say I'm so busy but I feel so much more satisfied with my life now

That's my life since graduating xcollege. I use to just go to school and work weekends. Since graudting about 2 - 3 years ago I've been insane busy. Up until about a year ago I was dragging myself and was so unhappy with my job and then turn was just nothing for me. I'm taking this year for myself and just me. I am still taking xourse online and work 3 jobs right now but looking for a fourth just to get extra savings in. I want to take a few sushi making course, cake decorating course, and so on. I know many of my friends complain I don't get time anymore. But many of them when I did have the time would ditch me for their boyfriends so I don't feel bad for them. Just shows where I stand if they think their boyfriends are better than me until tjey are out of the picture.

That's what always happened to me so I stopped making plans with them. I hang out more with coworkers and many are a lot older than me. I find those my age tend to have other priorities. I mean I just talked to an old friend and her world is her boyfriend. She won't go anywhere without him, and if she does she talks about him. She doesn understand the concept of independency and responsibility. I work several jobs and her response was call in sick and spend the day with me (if only - who's going to pay my bills). I agree you can be very happy without being popular, or following the trends. I make a list of things I want to do and work around it. In a few weekends I'm going to the All Things Pet Show, I want to take a few courses, and such and I personally find it better tha

That is good that you are happy even if you are busy. Some people are complaining that they are too busy and they are not happy with it but they have no choice. In your case, that's great that you are happy where you are, even if you are busy.

I notice many say they are busy but they are not. They say it because it is fashionable to say they are busy. If one is really busy as you are that is a good thing as idle mind is a devil's work shop as they say.

You are right, I am busy person right now. I don't even have too much time to go to mall except for having groceries, I guess every other sundays only. With too much pressure and workloads in the office, you cannot avoid thinking of work.
I wish I will have even a week's vacation to relax and have fun.

I got your point friend. I feel the same too especially when there is a long vacation , usually during the Holy week. I really get bored before and wanted to do something or go back to work because of the long vacation. But now, it already changed. I have a son that really removes boredom when I am at home even for the long holidays.

I understand your feeling, busy with work and happy with money that you earn. It is really good you know, but we don't live alone so that if you don't have much time for going with your friends, you can make a phone call to them, just take a short time but you are still in touch with your friends.
Who knows you may need their help later, if you are not in touch with them for long time, then i am sure it is really hard to get their help also.
I am happy for you and i hope you can keep in touch with your friends also.
Best wish for you

When one is idle, it isn't always good. Your being busy and happy is a blessing. You fulfill yourself with productive activity, and it makes you feel good. Friends are great to have, but don't let them get in the way of your productivity. I am sure you will make time for you friends, but in the meantime, get busy being happy. He he he!

Oh well all work and no play makes one a dull boy / girl.. have you heard of that? you should take some time to be with your family... they are more important than work.

Hi there. I think it is good to be busy with things
That we enjoy and love doing. keeping ourselves
busy is one way of keeping our body and mind
active, which I think is essential to keep us
healthy as well. Just do not forget to keep yourself
a break once in a while by making sure you keep
in touch with your friends and hang out with them
even once a fortnight. You deserve to relax too
and spend some bonding time with your pals.

I find most of my friends are more interested in hitting up a bar which I am not interested in and every time I hang out with them I feel like I have waisted time and gotten nothing productive done

I think that becoming busy later in life is all about the process of surviving. You need to work constantly to support yourself and your family. Children don't realize this until it happens to them. I miss being a child and never having to worry about bills or jobs. I had it all. And now I never have any free time, no friends. It sucks sometimes but really, there is nothing I can do about it because I now have to focus on what I need to do to survive.

I don't have a family to support and I choose to be as busy as I am as I spend alot of time volunteering and such I love being busy and hate sitting around doing nothing it feels like sick a wait I love that at the end of every day I feel like I have accomplished something good

We made this choice because we know that it is for our own good. Although there are times that we might just have no time for our friends and love ones, I'm sure they would understand us. Personally, I presently have very little time to spend with my family but they understand me because I explained to them that I am doing these things for all of us. Because of this also, I have to sleep for 3 to 4 hours in a day just to cope up with all of my schedules. Well, anyway I am certain that positive things will happen. There will be a harvest time! for sure!
