Have you ever sold your photographs?

I have been aware of stock photo websites for a long time now, but I was wondering what the return was like when selling your photos to websites or even postcard businesses. How much can photos be sold for? Is it worth the bother? If so, how do you get into this line of hobby/work?

I have seen this done as well, but have never seen it work. Most people will just look and not buy the pictures. Or will copy them with the copyright image and photshop that out later without permission. If you are serious about becoming a photographer, you should take a class on it at a local college, and then get out there to newspapers, and magazines to try and be hired as a professional photographer.
