Would you let a stranger borrow your car in return for cash?

I was browsing the internet today on my phone and looked up to find an advert in front of me on the train. It was advertising a service whereby you list your car and your location on a website and the times of day that you don't use your car. People then go on to the site in search of a car to rent, and yours appears in the listings. In return, you are paid for people using your vehicle and your insurance is covered by the company. To me, I don't think I could trust a stranger in my car, even if there was cash involved. Even though the car would be insured for free, it still doesn't provide protection. Do you think this concept is a good idea? Would you do this?

I don't think I would allow that too. If a stranger will borrow my car, then I would have to clean and take out all the things I have there for the day then return them all the next day only to take them all out again when it's time for another stranger to borrow. I think it would just be too much work. Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

I could never let a stranger borrow my car. i don t even allow my friends to borrow my car. i am responsible for my vehicle and what happens to it, I would ot have enough trust to give that responsibility to a stranger and expect them to honor it. I would be happy if they did, but i would not expect it.

There is a company in here and we can rent a car from them. of course we have to give them our documents and money to rent it also. In my case, i can let a stranger people rent my car but should sign a contract of renting and i have to keep their documents also. Many people do like that in here especially in vacation time.

I don't think that is a good idea. I would not want my car to be driven by just anybody. They may mishandle my car. They may scratch the paint or worse, crash. They may bring in some funny odor into my car. They may smoke in the car and burn a hole in the car seat. They may vomit and spit in my car. No, that is a bad idea.

Not at all i dont even let my wife drive my car cause she doesnt take care of her own vehicle like i take care of mine... and to have a complete stranger in ur car will not flty with me.... im hesitant to let my close friends borrow my car just to run up to the store and back... even thought the car is covered and if anything happens to it it will be taken care of.. i still dnt think that it's a good idea..

No, I definately would not do this. If you had a car you didn't care about, and you needed to make money...maybe. You are right though you have people driving your car to who knows where, putting whatever 'stuff' they have in it, and doing 'whatever' they want in it to. Just sounds disgusting to me.
